When that, and Sexsmith v Gibson came out "at random" I got suspicious.
They were two certainties I had.

Re: Progress
My predictions are as follows
1st Round
Sexsmith def Gibson
ZSJr def Starr
Banks def Havoc
Mandrews def Flamita
Bate def Eaver
Haskins def Webster
Seven def Riddle
Cobb def Cruz
Quarter Finals
ZSJr def Sexsmith
Banks def Mandrews
Haskins def Bate
Seven def Cobb
Semi Finals
Banks def ZSJr
Seven def Haskins
Finals
Banks def Seven
The only alternative that I'm considering is Riddle beating Seven & swapping Bate to the final instead, either way I see Banks defeating a member of BSS in the final, probably with help from CCK
Any of you guys got predictions?

Bate and Seven not making the semis means a Tag title defence on Day 3, I also wonder if Riddle will have to defend his Atlas title against Cobb if they were to meet in the QF.

Re: Progress
What a weekend. That would be a understatement. INCREDIBLE!
Matt Riddle vs Jeff Cobb on night 2 was the match of the weekend.
Highlights throughout the weekend
David Starr is hilarious. You're favourite wrestlers favourite wrestler
Jimmy Havoc I think is slowly gonna turn heel
Jack Sexsmith, what a man. Competing even though he was injured, really do have to feel sorry for him. He genuinely has improved as a wrestler.
Trent Seven losing in 6 seconds
All 3 women did fantastic in the main event.
Toni Storm is lovely.
The wasteman challenge was brilliant
Shocked Bate beat Riddle clean and that Dunne beat Cobb clean
Travis Banks winning was expected but still brilliant and a passsionate response from the crowd.
Announced for Ally Pally. Travis Banks vs Pete Dunne for the progress title.

Finally caught up On Demand. That was draining!
Successfully avoided spoilers all week which is impressive in this day and age.
Riddle v Cobb was unbelievable, Riddle v Bate was a better all round match with better storytelling though.

Chapter 50 was pretty good. Card looked a little tag heavy with 3 of the 6 announced matches being tag matches (playa)
Definitely worth avoiding the results and watching On Demand.

Re: Progress
- Chapter 51 Results :
Mark Haskins def Mike Bird via Submission - Declared afterwards wanted his title back
Eddie Dennis def Ashmore - Was ok nothing special
Jimmy Havoc def Jigsaw - Post match called Haskins a Cat for quitting when he won the title cos he'd rather play daddy. Jigsaw is a lovely guy spent most the interval talking to him
War Machine def London Right - MOTN it was amazing. War Machine look legit massive live.
Walter def Matt Riddle to win the Atlas Title - It was a pro-Walter crowd weirdly big pop when he tapped Riddle out
Chief Deputy Dunne def Flash Morgan Webster - Don't watch it it was dull as F**k
Before the match Trent Seven asked CCK to put the titles on the line & said if didn't win they'd never go for the tag titles again. CCK Agreed
British Strong Style def CCK to win the Progress Tag Titles after Pete Dunne hit Lykos with a sledgehammer and pulled Tyler on top of him

- Chapter 53 Results - Fate Loves The Fearless:
Spud was working as a crew member as part of his 2002 spud gimmick
1) CCK def Extra Talent-ed to become no.1 contenders for the Tag Titles
2) Chief Deputy Dunne def Chuck Mambo
3) James Drake & Zack Gibson def Never Say Die
4) James Davis def Rob Lynch - Rob announced his retirement post match, JD attacked him with the cricket bat and called him a loser and why he lost his money, house & fiancee
5) Pete Dunne def Jack Sexsmith - Was really good
6) Toni Storm def Candice LeRae
7) British Strong Style def Mark Haskins & Jimmy Havoc asked Petah brought out Haskins Wife when they had the match wrapped up to distract him. Jimmy blamed him for losing and they a big brawl happened which needed most the roster to break up
8) Keith Lee def Travis Banks - Dude is Frak ridiculous live, Brutal chops & middle rope moonsault. Keith won after Petah who was on commentary came down to ringside with the sledgehammer.
Post match BSS beat down Travis & CCK came to the rescue but Petah knocked them out with the sledgehammer. BSS held Travis down with Petah aiming the sledgehammer at the back of Travis head then.....KEEP IT 100 & the place went mental as TK Cooper & Dahlia stormed the ring with chairs to save Travis. Travis was in between CCK & TK but CCK told him to go to TK & left the ring then the celebrations happened

Re: Progress
After Pete Dunne successfully defended his Uk title at ICW's Shugs Hoose Party, he's going to defend it against Jack Gallagher at Progress in New York on August 12th.
Great to see WWE showcasing these smaller feds. Great exposure to a world wide audience.

Re: Progress
Spookier free now right ...
All joking a side interesting where things go from here.
Marty basically announced he is no longer in progress.
Peter looked to give a goodbye wave at the end. Suspect British strong style as a whole will be going permanent to NXT soon.
Debut of Wolfgang is interesting suspect he wants a run in progress before he too moves onto big things.
Eddie turning on Andrews legit silenced me. Made sense now that the FSU shirts were on offer before the show and at the interval
Match of the night was the death match. I'm feeling a heel Haskins to be the one to take the belt of Banks by Christmas.

- Spoiler:
- It’s finslly over, I love Banks almost everywhere but I have not enjoyed his Progress title run
Be interesting to see who ends up in the Wembley main event now, I guess Tyler is nailed on given he looked destined to win SSS16 before he got hurt but I don’t know if anyone will join him

- Spoiler:
- I'd guess Tyler v Walter, but with the "three and in" series, the title match could end up a multiman, and maybe the likes of Haskins and Havoc now they don't have a lot to do may get in as well.
Eddie Dennis and Mark Andrews could also both get in, but I'd imagine they'll cost each other and face off at Wembley. Also don't forget Banks earning a rematch.

Re: Progress
The New Japan card has really screwed over the Wembley show, I was actually considering travelling for it but my enthusiasm has very much wained, I don’t trust them to put together a compelling title match with this 3 and in gimmick and I can only see it being a triple threat if not more
I’m still hyped for Andrews/Eddie and Dunne/Dragonov but nothing else on the horizon is really doing it for me right now

Re: Progress
Wembley card (to date)
World Championship
WALTER (c) v Tyler Bate
Atlas Championship
Doug Williams (c) v Trent Seven
Tag Team Championship Thunderbastard
Flamita and Bandido (c) v Sexy Starr v M&M v Anti Fun Police v Aussie Open v CCKampf v The 198 v Grizzled Young Vets
Women's Championship
Jinny (c) v Millie McKenzie (v Toni Storm if she's medically cleared)
Pete Dunne v Ilja Dragunov
Mark Andrews v Eddie Dennis - TLC Match
Jimmy Havoc v Paul Robinson - No DQ Grudge Match
Mark Haskins v Matt Riddle
I think they've just about managed to cover up the disappointment of losing Ospreay and Sabre, and the injury to Travis Banks. Also there is a preshow match yet to be announced, hoping the likes of Mambo, TK Cooper, Ridgeway and Trivet get a shot.

Re: Progress
I’ll hand it to them, I’ve not been that enamoured with Progress this year but this looks like an excellent card, Walter/Bate is an awesome main event and I’m glad they were able to show some restraint and not multi man it
Dunne/Iljia is a legitimate dream match, been disappointed by the build outside of of CMJ’s mic work but the match sells itself for me at least

Based on Tyler interfering in the Travis v Walter title match I think a fully fit Trav makes that main event a 3 way, but yeah I think the matches will make the lack of hype a non issue.

Re: Progress
I have a feeling Riddle is only there because Ospreay and Sabre couldn't make it (and the WWE link)
So only changes would be Ospreay v Havoc (which happened a month early instead), Sabre v Walter, and Bate maybe against Haskins (which also happened last Chapter)
