England v Wales
First topic message reminder :
Anyone know much about the ticket sales for this game?
I may head down for this, however just took a quick peak for tickets and there is only one block available, and not 2 tickets sat together. It can't be sold out already can it?
Anyone know?

Re: England v Wales
Massive difference in energy leela between England and Welsh players, the Welsh have had a few weeks off and look bang up for it. The English look knackered as they've had weeks of knockout rugby.

I'd say energy levels look similar with ball in hand, and very poor for both sides in defence...
To be expected though

But defence is based on intensity that you need energy for

Re: England v Wales
A few Welsh players look very half hearted in D, Biggar is just one.
Sometimes theres a danger of playing a stronger team, all guarenteed to travel on tour against players with something to prove.

Defence is in the head, not the legs.

4 or 5 times now Wales have had lazy runners off side as England try to get the ball away from a tuck, annoying that the ref doesn't seem to want to penalise it though

On the strength of today's showing, the idea that Ford's kicking has become more robust is seriously in question.

Thats because of speed of ball from the English ruck, which thus far has been superb! You can't penalise players when a game moves forward that fast.
Take the last ruck though, Liam Williams is on the ball for 5/6 seconds, clear holding.
Thus far poor quality game from both sides, bar a few English boys really putting their body on the line, Yarde and Clifford look like they want to prove a real point, full of beans the pair of them.
If the game stays this way England should push out to a 8-12 point win IMO

Very clunky from England.
Scrappy affair as to be expected.

They'll have to do it all with tries though as Ford couldn't hit a cow's ar*se with a banjo at the moment .... two easy conversions missed which would have given England the lead

Re: England v Wales
As a side note I don't know why the comentators keep mentioning how Austrlia will punish England for errors, Australia make as many errors as anyone.
NZ killing Wales off on this perfoemance would be a decent shout, but I think England should be looking to going down and punishing an Aus side in transition, their training squad is a real mixed bag!

Yea Fords kicking is crap today.
Not sure if Devoto will sort that either! I guess Daily may have to come onto the ring and kick.

Brown and Yarde both upping their games today, Yarde's chased more kicks in that half then all season for Quins

Ford should get Grayson for some personal training. He's worked wonders with Burns

Brown looks a touch of class, outshining Liam Williams at the mnute.
Yardes work rate and effort is superb, and I wasn't sure he'd have the guts to throw that pass in his own 22, but fair play to him, he's making an impact!

I'm not hugely up on rugby but surely that wasn't a knock on because it went backwards??

Re: England v Wales
That fake try makes up for a lot of Ford's missed kicks, which is nice.
Quinnell and Greenwood are going hammer and tongs over that one.

Re: England v Wales
Very poor from Wales surrounding the ref. Dodgy decision, but great gas from Clifford.
On those later replays though, it went backwards.

Stronger ref would have penalised / carded Biggar!

good call by the ref to wait and check after rather than blowing up straight away ... how are the commentary team moaning about a knock on as even if Cole got his hand on it it went backwards from him ...

Ford looks like he has no confidence. Bath's dismal season coupled with his dad's sacking seems to have really knocked him. A couple of those missed kicks are howlers.
Agree with the TMO and Greenwood, Cole knocks the ball down and back.

Yes very poor to see back chat to the ref - there should have been a reaction from the ref on that. Can a player be cited for such things?
