Premier League Week 5 Results
Crawley Town 0 v 1 Chesham Utd
(Nolito)
Both teams set up well and not an easy game for either side, thats why it's only going to be 1-0 to Chesham United. The reasoning behind this is because i can see Costa and Nolito having plenty of joy down the wings against Fuchs and Fosu-Mensah respectively and i can see them getting overwhelmed because of the pace and power on both sides which is where the goal came from with Nolito managing to cut inside and strike one into the top corner. Nandos team is going to be tough to beat from here on out IMO.
Ebbsfleet Utd 1 v 1 Manchester Utd
(Aubameyang) (Sanchez)
Gotta be honest i was suprised at both teams playing on the counter attack. I think that the counter attacking system doesn't really suit the team Viva put out personally, as the title winner last season i think he should be going for a more attacking approach thats all. I get the instructions from Bam to allow Reus to 2 on 1 with Di Maria out wide and swap too but i think he should be starting out wide. Maybe could have tried Rashford in behind Aubameyang and put Di Maria out on the Right instead of Lingard with Reus on his normal left hand side. That being said, I like both teams and they manage to get some joy with Aubameyang breaking away and getting a goal in the first half and in the second half Sanchez managing to get beyond the defence and equalise. The Premier League is a tough one to call this season for sure.

Home to Chesham United, playing 4-3-3/4-5-1, fourth game of the season, we need to bounce back.
Schmeichel in goal, command your area, stay big for 1v1's.
Balanta, Rudiger centrebacks, Rudiger track their striker, Balanta the spare man. Defend as a unit.
Fosu-Mensah, Fuchs at fullback, defend solidly, in possession overlap the winger, get crosses in.
Rudy the DM, break up play.
Fabregas, Vidal box to box midfielders, support the attack with the ball, support Rudy without it.
Neymar, Quaresma inverted wingers, cut inside, link or feed overlapping fullback.

- Ebbsfleet United:

----------------------Rakitic--Niguez----------
Lingard-------------------Reus-------------Di Maria

Defensive
Clyne/Sandro mark wingers, one CM drop deeper if against 2 strikers/
Chiellini get tight to main striker, Alderweireld cover with pace
Rakitic/Niguez track midfield runs - cover when FBs forward
Attacking
Play for counter, midfield get ball quickly forwards, dictate play with passing/movement,
Reus/ADM/Aubameyang stay forward, push them back
Aubameyang make runs in behind, attack near post from crosses
FBs overlap to pull DMs out of position – leave space for Reus/ADM in middle or 2on1 out wide
Reus/ADM swap to vary attack, no 10 position support Aubameyang constantly – attack Utd weakness at CB due to injury
- Manchester United:
- Ebbsfleet United vs Manchester United
Formation: 4-2-3-1Reina
Bellerin Zouma Hernandez Lahm
Kante Alonso
Robben Eriksen Sanchez
Ibrahimovic
Subs
Casillas
Varela
Motta
Ben Arfa
Vardy
Injuries
Maxwell
Aymeric Laporte
John Terry
Tactics
Playing counter attack today, sit deeper to stop their pace and hit them on the break. CB to mark zonally, FB show wingers outside force them to cross as I feel we're stronger aerially. Kante press their midfield while Alonso block of passing angles and intercept the ball. Alonso switch balls quickly to wingers for them to attack the space behind the FB, be direct in your play running at them and forcing them to commit opening up space which Eriksen needs to take advantage of passing/make runs. Ibra hold up ball play within the 18 yard box.
SUB 65 MIN IF LOSING
Eriksen off Vardy on (We go 4-4-2)
SUB 70 MIN IF WINNING
Ibrahimovic off Vardy on (Hit them with the pace of Vardy when they chase the game)
SUB 72 MIN
Robben off Ben Arfa on (Fresh legs)
