Kind of agree. If Fed beat Cilic, he would likely beat Raonic too. Cilic - if playing well - by far the most dangerous opponent for Fed in the top half.Born Slippy wrote:Fed would have crushed Raonic anyway.

Do we have a rough idea for when the Murray match will start.
I have to pop out but wanna be back in time

Good stuff. Marray into another Wim QF. He couldn't win again could he?!Mad for Chelsea wrote:Born Slippy wrote:Erm, still 0-40. No idea what's going on as its not televised!Born Slippy wrote:Has a former champ playing in it as well!Mad for Chelsea wrote:There's a doubles match over on court 7 which is level at 12-12 in the fifth
Three match points to Marray and partner.
It's finished, Marray and his partner have won 14-12

Hard to judge. I'm assuming that Serena's match is currently awaiting the roof going up? I'd pop out now as Murray won't be on for at least an hour.emancipator wrote:Do we have a rough idea for when the Murray match will start.

Stinker of a game from Goffin. Raonic has a break! Comeback on?

Hmm....
Can we be sure (the present-day error-prone) Fed "would have crushed Raonic" ....?
In their last five meetings, it's 3-2 to Federer ; and 6 sets won, but five conceded.
Good to see Goffin showing some form

Poor game from Goffin that really, couple of loose shots, and Raonic has some sort of foothold.

I am not, but that is not quite what I said. I said that I thought that if he first beat Cilic, then he would also beat Raonic. I could see Fed playing poorly enough that they would both beat him, but I think that Cilic when playing well (as he seems to be) is harder for Fed to beat.lags72 wrote:Can we be sure (the present-day error-prone) Fed "would have crushed Raonic" ....?

From 4-5 down Serena has obliterated Kuz - now 75 50. Not long until the big match.

Three clean return winners in the last game - 43 winners in total. Brutal from Serena.

Bit weird that Milos is playing on Court 2 whilst J-MC is on centre talking about the Murray match. I know he's a consultant but must be strange when he's not there.

Raonic clawing his way back into the match, though really more through Goffin's level dipping than Raonic's improving.

Raonic in the 5th set now. It looks like Tomic is headed there too.

Got to assume at some stage Nick might drop below 88% first serves in!

Re: Wimbledon 2016 - Day 7
Raonic up a break in the 5th. Bad loss for Goffin given his dominance early on.
Tomic has saved break points in all three service games in the 5th - got to assume he will get a break himself soon!

Kyrgios looking too quick and too powerful for Murray.

Kyrgios now up above 90% first serves. Ludicrously good.

Murray never wins big tiebreaks so essential he wins this next game. Neither player can play better than this. Awesome set.

The switch to BBC2 works for Murray!

Excellent from Murray. Well-deserved set. Needs to maintain this level though as Kyrgios is playing great.

First time Kyrgios misses two first serves in a game. Murray breaks.

Kyrgios just not solid enough. Some brain cramps thrown in for good measure. Long way back now.

Andy benefitting from some indiscipline in that game. Vital he consolidates the break.

Wouldn't be remotely surprised if Kyrgios drops his head from here. Hope Andy can continue to be solid and not give him a sniff.

I thought it was crazy that they gave him a time violation the last match - he is always one of the fastest guys to serve.Aut0Gr4ph wrote:Well, Nick won't be getting any time violations today at this rate.

Key question now is whether Kyrgios will reset for set 3 or continue showing disinterest.

Fantastic win for Pouille. Great for him to make a Wimbledon QF. Must be close to top 20.
