You've obviously not seen much of us recently Pete, bloody awful. Can't see us getting much if I'm honest.

That was harsh the try being disallowed. The blocked player was nowhere near making a tackle.

Yes ill take the win marra but that was as bad a second half performance as you'll see!
At least Joel Hodgson has shown that Delayney should not start at 10 ever again! Especially with TC back aswell!

Re: Newcastle Falcons Thread - 2016 / 2017
Well aised from a few missed tackles causing tries...and Visser should have been smashed for the last try....I thought that was our best performance of the season.
I wasn't impressed with last weeks victory over Saints, but I was much happier with this one.
In every game we have had spells where we resort to school boy standard rugby and inevitably lose the game...but in this game we didn't drop our game.
Some standouts...but personally I thought the engine room boys of Olmstead and Witty were huge! Witty is becoming a brutal lock...hes huge and is so quick. His carrying is getting better and better. Saxons call up for him soon! He's better than Ewells of Bath!
And Olmstead...wow what a player! Premiership signing of the season.
I also think its no coincidence that when Delayney is pushed aside ....we start playing well!!

Re: Newcastle Falcons Thread - 2016 / 2017
Caught the game yesterday. Cracking performance, probably our best this season. Quins were dire, but you can only play whats in front of you and we were in control for most of the game.
Negatives - Defence was lapse and let too much through. Scrum was poor again, both props are struggling for form and it showed.
Positives - Attacking play was sublime at times and cut Quins to shreads. Socino had his best game in a Falcons shirt. The back 5 were outstanding, especially the locks....Witty is some player at such a tender age.
Hodgson directed things beautifully, very impressive. Young was ok in parts, but kicked awfully. Delany actually played well from 15, maybe this is what he needs.
Despite not being mathematical, I think we're now safe. Perhaps that's why we such such a confident display, the lads play better with the threat of relegation not on them.

I think you are definitely safe. Bristol are dire and Worcester are struggling. Sale are also in the fight in my opinion as they have a real problem at 10 and have very little control. It will be really interesting to see if whether free of the shackles of the relegation fight you guys can kick on and develop an effective winning style.

Sgt
I think Delayney should be considered a FB and nothing else. He played ok there....
But we should focus on Hodgson, Catterick (back training) and stop this nonsense of moving Willis to 12 and focus on 10! Having said that I said Vickers moving to Prop was a bad move aswell and that turned out alright....
