Yep Cumbrian. The Wasps style bench.
That Sale pack just doesn't look as good as what Newcastle are deploying. Can't see them getting enough quality ball to their backs.

Be good chaps and give your northern neighbours a hand. Can't risk them getting relegated, far too many EQ players coming through there.

Expected you guys to win that one, although Sale seem to have picked up a bit from a shocking period.

Sale deserved the win in all honesty. But It was pretty close.
But I'm still disappointed.
Joel Hodgson wasn't at the races today.

Saints on Sunday.....not sure what to expect from this game....although they're missing Picamoles, Lawes etc so we have to get at them.

Think you should be slight favourites, but a competitive game.GeordieFalcon wrote:Saints on Sunday.....not sure what to expect from this game....although they're missing Picamoles, Lawes etc so we have to get at them.

You gave Bath a good game didn't you? Better than you have been playing ...would you agree?

Re: Newcastle Falcons Thread - 2016 / 2017
Yes certainly better, but I didn't think Bath were good. Our defence is still poor (away from the try line) but there were moments we were throwing it around a bit better. Decision making/execution costing us at the end but left too much to do from the first half.

Aye could be an interesting one Scott.
Brookes back...he isn't very popular at all.
Looking forward to seeing big Harry play. Goneva is on fire at the moment.
Whilst not huge....our back row will be very physical and make it very difficult for you.

Quite a strong side we're putting out. Major area of concern for me is the defending from our backline. A lot of weak defenders we have there. Forwards decent considering Hartley, Wood and Picamoles missing. Could go either way.

Youre pacific islanders are adding some real spark to your attack, the fb looks very good. We've been poor in defence, especially in the backs.
Your scrum halfs box kicks are a delight to watch!
Cooper looking very solid with Sinoti dangerous and Takulua impressive.

Yeah Api really adds some useful carrying. Drew a lot of defenders for the Gibson try. Most accurate I've seen us ball in hand fot a while.

Great comeback from the lads, Takalu on fire! Should have got closer to the posts for his 2nd.

And people where calling for Deano to be got rid off earlier in the season....
He's done a Quins with you and has built you to the point where you can attract top names and potentially progress to the top 6.

The rugby at the beginning of the season was woeful to be fair. Ive never called gor Deano to go but few could forsee the turnaround.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Thread - 2016 / 2017
Cracking 2nd half performance, 4 tries!
Saints really fell apart in the 2nd. Mallinder had a bit of mare, his defence needs serious work. Foden was annoying, he just whinged all game and added very little, he's looking a bit past it. Thought your FB and Pisi were very good and a real threat.
Takalu & Latu were huge all game, great to have the Tongan twosome back! loved Cooper's physicality too, although some of his throws were a bit off.

Well what a flippin game that was!!!
Nili Latu is just a force of raging aggressive nature...Goneva and Sinotti were sublime and the pack worked their backsides off.
JP Socino had to be close for motm . He was outstanding!!
