I am glad to hear that, Jeff, and am now seriously considering buying a pair of TK Maxx slippers, they could be very useful with winter approaching.

As an aside, in Houston the TK Maxx is known as the TJ Maxx.

Spoke about Brexit to a plumber this morning just before I left work...specifically about immigration and how it needed to stop. I was trying to extricate myself some way before it got nasty but the guy was like a dog with a bone and ignorant as f*ck. Just before I said or did something I probably would have regretted my colleague turned to him and said ''Until English people start having more children migration will not stop or be limited .. it can't be done...so for those people who voted Brexit... all they've done is reduce white European immigration which will have to be replaced with hundreds and thousands of Asian and African migrants''. The look on the plumbers face will cheer me up for years and years to come. I now no longer hate my colleague Rick.

Afternoon/late evening notches, man-flu turned into proper flu and have been in bed for three days. Am about to retire to the sofa with a large bottle of Lucozade and another packet of cold and flu capsules. I feel as sh!t as Galted's best clothes.

Na. Just gym and sleep. Quietly making progress but not as quick as I'd like. Burning through terry brooks novels too although think he is seriously overrated as a writer. What did you get up to?

Not much for a change, which was nice. Just sport and friends, nice and chilled.

Hectic month ahead but they always seem to be at the moment, but in a good way.

Not bad at all Rick. Had the day off on Friday and spent the weekend away with the family in a fairly remote lodge near Pitlochry. Took my daughter to the Enchanted Forest show at Faskally on Friday night and that was spectacularly good.

Spent much of the rest of the weekend drinking Brewdog's Jackhammer IPA which comes in at a meaty 7.2%.

How's life treating you?

All good here, just the calm before the year end storm, nice chilled weekend with sport and booze with friends. Though mine was lager at a not so meaty 4 %, didn't catch the boxing though.

I drank five local ales and one foreign ale over the weekend. It is my intention to go through the entire t'Waitrose range.

3 ultra small lamb burgers and a litre of gold top milk. 7/10 be cause they had mayo on rather than sauce. Right after gym. Shoulders sore from doing squats. Legs sore too but the weight of the bar crushing my shoulders and turned em to jelly. Might need to get what is known in the weightlifting community as a *pu55y pad*. Presumably because they've never known a woman and therefore have never heard of periods or sanitary pads except when they were little and put them on their faces pretending to be shredder.

6 hours is a shift Rick. You have my sympathy. My day will mainly consist of sneaking on here and trying to annoy HH over Fury. There are those who would argue that's not an appropriate use of a man of 43s time, I disagree.

I have a horrible feeling that people will be bringing powerpoints... With animations, for the sake of F**K! Who in the whole history of anything, ever, has been won over by a star wipe in a presentation. Just put 5 bullet points per slide, know the subject, and f**k off...

TSMR is away all weekend this weekend on a hen do. She is takiing the car, as such I'm basically a prisoner in my own home. I'm a little worried, I may go feral.

Why is she taking the car to a hen do, I thought all hen do's took the train and drank prosecco from plastic champagne flutes?
