Re: Pro12 VX vs Premiership XV
well Nell/ Dickinson should be the pro 12 props and Jonny Gray at 4 Pinneer should be in there somewhere as well
I would expect it to be a good close game with the pro 12 maybe just having the edge

Hey Mikey, swap Piutau and Williams.
Piutau looks so much better with a 14 or 11 on his back than a 15 and Liam Williams seems to be equally as effective along the back 3.

Form may be slightly easier to consider than who is the best. Either way Williams ain't at 10!

From form so far this season, Prem I'd go:
1. Vunipola, probably just but not been amazing
2. Taylor but LCD pushing.
3.Brookes
4. Lawes
5. Itoje
6. Thompson
7. Burger
8. Vunipola
9.Robson
10. Cipriani, pushed Lozowski
11.Visser, probably.
12.Scott for me.

I've considered form, Cipriani and Lozowski did spring to mind. With regards to Williams I think Tigers fans would disagree with you!

Interesting that there is not 1 player from the Champions.

I'm not sure about Cippers, probably looks better than he is in a excellent-performing Wasps team. I only watch prem highlights and Lozowski is certainly a consistent performer - it's just Tigers fans speak so highly of Williams every week. I also note that you've included Visser over North - you really don't want to see a Welsh player in that team do you, why so bothered? Go on, put Roberts in at 12.

Williams is a 6, even if Eddie thinks he can be a 7.
Oh we mean Owen, well he is a 10 but not really in consideration for a Pemiership XV

Re: Pro12 VX vs Premiership XV
I went for form. Visser has been good in a poorly performing team. If we were to go for best North is in. I was doing form, hence Gopprth as well.

Re: Pro12 VX vs Premiership XV
I'd go for Ford at 10, he's been terrific, would also have Symons of Wasps at lock with Itoje
Other than that, 7.5's team looks about right on form
Obvious contenders missing because they haven't played yet include Louw, Koch, Farrell, Tuilagi etc

Laidlaw in with a shout at 9, despite being in a losing side I would say.

Re: Pro12 VX vs Premiership XV
I'd say the top Welsh candidates for a Premiership XV are North and Moriarty. I don't think Williams would be near contention at 10. That's no disrespect because there are a lot of decent players around. Cipriani and Ford have been the stand-outs but Lozowski and Steenson have all had good moments, while Gopperth is a fly half playing at 12.mikey_dragon wrote:...you really don't want to see a Welsh player in that team do you...

Pick Your coaches.
Pat Lam (former Saint) has to be at/near the top of the list.
Dai Young has got to be thereabouts, too.

Why would you say that? Have the Pro12 sides (and their players) improved significantly from last season? I guess we'll see more from the upcoming Champions Cup games.TJ wrote:

Williams at 10? He's a decent (if fairly limited) player but I wouldn't say he's in the top 5 Premiership fly halves.

Re: Pro12 VX vs Premiership XV
With a mix of form and class I think this is the current Prem XV:
15. Hook
14: Wade
13: Daly
12: Roberts
11: North
10: Williams
9: Phillips
8: Vunipola
7: Hamilton
6: Moriarty
5: Charteris
4: Itoje
3: Jones
2: Hibbard
1: Evans
15. Hook

9: Phillips
8: Vunipola
7: Hamilton

5: Charteris
4: Itoje
3: Jones

Can Dai Young, former Cardiff coach, coach the Pro12 XV.. ? There's better coaches available in the premiership right now IMO. Baxter, Young, McCall probably the standouts. For the Pro12 perhaps Les Kiss, Gregor Townsend or Danny Wilson would be the best bet. Next year we'll have Dave Rennie .

A decent number of English players in that PRL starting XV. Good work.

Forget the Premiership, I think you've just named the starting XV for the first Lions Test.

Something I forgot to add, McIntyre of Wasps for LH in the prem XV? He's previously made ESPN's Lions team more than once as well.

We're big fans of Williams because he makes our error ridden team look capable of winning games. Very good controlling ten. George Ford is the pick of the tens for me though. Possibly the most well rounded ten in the league and only real weakness is kicking off the tee which isn't necessarily a requirement for the ten.
