He'll regret it in the changing room but still - didn't look good from him at all.

Munster are going to self-combust if they don't get a rein on their energy and emotions.  Dangerous mix.

I think thats just the emotion of the day and the anger he feels at himself coming out. I do feel for him- he will regret it.

I still think Munster will win this. This will galvanise them even more and their pack will drag them through.

Earls doesn't strike me as that kind of player. I'm sure he'll do the right thing by Glasgow after the match.

Given the Glasgow player landed on his head Garces didn't have much choice - however I don't think it was a malicious tackle like Toomua's last week. Earls drove forward in the tackle, I don't think he deliberately lifted up, it's unfortunate imo.

Given the emotion of the occasion Garces showed a lot of balls there. It was a cast iron red card, but he could have taken the easy way out and just sin binned Earls. Earls didn't do himself any credit either with his antics on the way off.

It may be just me but the universal pleading for penalties from scrum halves at ruck time drives me nuts.

wow, I think they should have cancelled the game really. Shame there had to be a red card but that was needlessly reckless.

It looked like the Glasgow player took himself to ground but think it was Earls just lifting the leg too high and putting him off balance that caused it

Well the Munster pack is fired up. Demolished Glasgow there and win a penalty that Bleyendal kicks.

17-3 at 26 minutes.

Hopefully atmosphere doesn't sour - crowd getting belligerent.

The way he's playing Moore will live to regret his Wasps move- must be pretty gratifying for any tight head to see your direct opponent subbed off just 30 minutes in

Earls let go of him at the highest point of lifting. If he'd kept hold of the player it might only have been a yellow.

I don't think that should be given, but if he only presented the ball then it was a definite try the next phase.

Yep. Hogg didn't hold him in the tackle. So any 'double movement' doesn't count.

Bleyendal on fire with his kicking.

24-3. 30 mins.

Silly from Murray there.

Munster are going to need a bit of a cushion going into the second half. They surely won't be able to keep up the intensity for 80 minutes. Not after the emotional toll of the week plus playing with a man down. Can't imagine Glasgow been as bad either

Interesting to watch Garces monitor/manage the scrum and put-in to ensure there is a scrum for the ball. I like it.

what a half from Munster! Really impressed with their attitude after the red card to then go on and keep Glasgow scoreless and score themselves. You wouldn't know they have a man missing.

I suspect Glasgow will come out with renewed purpose but they have a mountain to climb and I wouldn't be surprised if they lose.

Fair play to Garces, he was looking for every reason not to award that red card but had no other choice really. Good composure from him and he has been generally fair throughout this game. I feel for Earls. He totally lost his head and that scene of him kicking the cone in frustration which hit his teammates on the bench was telling.

John Ryan and Tyler Bleyendaal have been the finds of the season for Munster. I know they have been around for a while but finally both are fit and firing. What a difference they have made.

This is a supreme Munster performance but this also shows why Glasgow have never got out the group stages - they fold when the physical intensity is ramped up

Every single Glasgow player has had a howler today so far. Their collective 'performance' has been nothing short of a disgrace. For a professional team to concede 17 points to a 14 man team and score 0 is pathetic.
Sure, Munster have played well but that's mainly because they have been allowed to by inept opposition.

The game has gone flat already.

Glasgow should be able to make some inroads to the scoreline in the remaining 20 mins.

Townsend sounds like he has given up on the team today.
