This seems a bit of a joke. Either he broke the rules or he didn't.

Fight is still going ahead though :-/

Interesting read, they seem to go to great lengths to point out how unfortunate an accident it was, that he took a supplement that he didn't check the contents of, and while strictly speaking it's his responsibility it's an honest mistake, could happen to anyone, so it would be mean to punish him... beyond a large fine to the WBC.

Povetkin reported to have been caught for traces of ostarine.

His team tried to talk Stiverne to go ahead anyway, but they refused.

East side is saying Duhaupas might step up and fight Povetkin. He was there for the fight anyway.

Hope they offered him a good wedge.

I gave Povetkin a bit of leeway for the Meldonium failed test but you can't defend either this time around, the sport is riddled with it but very slowly catching some.

If stiverne is a roid head, then he would be even worse clean... Doesn't bear thinking about.

The promoters must have been desperate. The star attraction cancelled at such late notice.

I assume Povetkin will be almost fighting for free.

Apparently, Povetkin KO'd Duhaupas in 6. Didn't see it but one comment was that Duhaupas looked out of shape and was in trainers.

Povetkin didn't look good, apparently.

Looks like he's blown his career.

First three rounds were close but after that Duhaupas was spent.

Not surprising as he want at all prepared.

What a dreadful state of affairs. 

Povetkin needs banning and Stiverne should not be escaping sanctions either. One person I guarantee is happy about this is Wilder - I doubt he will ever need to fight Povetkin now.

According to VADA Povetkin's sample from 13th December is clear. Therefore Wilder and the WBC maybe be forced into fighting the Russian

But he tested positive for a drug that lasts 24 hours....

Povetkin's promoter is one of the richest men in the world? I'm sure a small payment will be made to brush it under the carpet...
