Has King Kenny lost it? - Page 3 Empty Has King Kenny lost it?

Post by JDandfries Mon 06 Jun 2011, 12:57 pm

First topic message reminder :

First £35 Million for a 21 year old who can only manage 20 games a season, now if reports are to be believed, £19 million for a Sunderland reserve??

What is going on, is this man safe to be spending NESV money???

at the end yesterday is today.of course you need more than henderson but who do think you could have signed 20 years ago that would benefit you just now.you might not being sayin this in 5 years.its all youngish players you are signing just now so it could benefit in the long term.mibees aye mibees naw who knows ask king kenny.im pretty sure he knows better than me or you.only time will tell.if you want to win the league next season who do you want to sign.

'at the end of the day' is a cliche but I get your cleverness. The point I was making was that 20 years ago we were a top side not relying on hit and miss signings.

Now we are.

It's not a matter of who you can sign but who can you sign.

The bridge is too big.

so did liverpool only make hit signings 20 year ago.every club has to take a gamble.every signing is hit or miss. man u have had plenty in both catergorys.so have arsenal.its not too big in my opinion the english market is overprice because of sky but thats a different point

Why is the English market overpriced down to Sky. Its basically down to owners of clubs like Man City and previously Chelsea trying to buy success. Realisticly the FA/Premier League should follow Germany's lead and create a wage cap for players and along with UEFA's new transfer rules you will see prices drop considerably

i agree with all that.but sky started the ball rolling with the silly amount of money they have been paying for the contracts that enabled teams to start paying more money for players.money that a lot have never been worth.thats why these rich owners wanted a piece of the cake so the prices and wges for players has got ridiculously worse.

Is it fear? Why are people trying to take every opportunity to bash the king? He is not the only manager to have spent big money on young players, but when he does he is suddenly losing it: This pheonix is rising, enjoy your new perch, coz it won't last long. Wink
