Open Championship - IFQ
I see that the International Final Qualifying Europe is almost complete today at Sunningdale, again not entirely sure why they insist on 36 holes for these, but here's the leaderboard:

Gary Boyd and Alejandro Canizares looking secure
Monty is out
Could be a mass play off for the remaining few spots!

Re: Open Championship - IFQ
JPX,
That seems to be the case. And hopefully so for many of them. Assuming everyone from Donaldson at -1 and better playing the afternoon rounds, 4 of the 13 would have to reach -6 to knock the -5's out. Which would mean nine angry men. A shame I can't find a streaming broadcast of the round.

20 players didn't bother to go out in the afternoon and just withdrew.
What an awful attitude.

I agree George, especially if people have turned up to watch them.
11 tied for the last 3 places on offer now.

Nice turnround in form from Thomas Levet;
161 over the weekend at Celtic Manor, 131 at Sunningdale - wish I could take 15 strokes a round off my score.
I see we have a new man Storming into the lead, spectre of mass play-off receding.

End up with the -6s only just hanging in, 5 of them fighting for the final spot!
Pleased to see Levet get through. Always liked him, and he has a handy pedigree in this tournament.

Disappointed Lowry didn't make it....Noren brilliant week continues would be nice if he could keep this up and get into the top 50.

Re: Open Championship - IFQ
It looks like Coetzee and Larrazabal are still fighting it out, Rumford and Son, Kjeldsen and Tullo miss out.
Remember, there are still a couple of places for high finishers not already qualified at the French Open and Scottish Open.
And Coetzee does it.
