TACTICS (147 words)
A bonus sneaky injury from Hero (Alli) hasn’t helped our cause, but looking to build on our first win of the season. Playing with a defensive line up and looking to hit them on the counter attack. They have a lot of pace in their team including new boy Aubemayang so hold a deep line with the midfield dropping in. Let them have the ball higher up but between halfway/final third start to press. When we get the ball attack them quickly. Cyprien to get forward with Castro and Gueye picking out the passes from slightly more defensive positions. Redmond to drift wide and look for space and use the pace we have, as we feel their defense can be exploited.
SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning – Arter for Cyprien. Fresh legs in the middle.
If losing – Isak for a CM, move to a 4-4-2 flat and use more width.
Watford v Bournemouth
- Watford:
Injuries: Isaac Success, Nordin Amrabat, Costel Pantilimon, Jerome Sinclair
--------------------Gomes---------------------
----------Rudiger---Silva---Kaboul-----------
Moses--------Capoue---Motta---------Alonso
------------Robben---------Sarabia-----------
--------------------Immobile------------------
Subs: Holebas, Kolasinac, Janmaat, Prodl, Behrami, Watson, Ighalo.
Immobile to push onto the CB's, getting in and around the box looking to pounce on opportunities.
Robben and Sanabria are going to start a bit further out wide and look to tuck in and press the final third.
Alonso and Moses to put in a shift as the wider players, Alonso looking to put the ball into dangerous areas for Immobile.
Alonso and Moses to track back in the turnover of possession and keep the back line.
Motta and Capoue to shield the back 3 and look to push out to either side to protect the wide areas if we are caught in possession.
Rudiger and Kaboul will be the more mobile CB's looking to squeeze out possession and make it difficult for them
Silva to play as the last defender, looking to win aerial battles and stand the ground in our box.
80th: Behrami for Capoue
- Bournemouth:
------------------------Boruc
Klostermann -- Naldo -- Christensen -- Daniels
------------------Parades -----Parejo ---------
Iwobi ---------------Aspas ------------- Insigne
------------------Zlatan
Bench - Francis, Denayer, Grifo, Valbuena, Guedes, Ramirez, Afobe
Full Backs to get up the pitch, whip balls in for Ibra, Look to force their wingers down the line especially Robben
Naldo to use his physicalness to dominate Immobile don't let him turn, Christensen to cover with his pace
Parades sit on the AM if their is one otherwise sit and marshall putting tackles in.
Parejo look to control the play getting balls outwide & into Aspas and make late runs in box for pull backs
Iwobi & Insigne look to take on full backs and link with Aspas and go in behind or cross balls in for Ibra.
Aspas look to drift about in the pockets of space, hit balls in behind for wingers and link with Ibra
Ibrahimovic look to bully defense & making way in box for crosses into the area
Subs - Guedes for Iwobi - go 4-4-2 if losing - Valbuena for Aspas if winning go 4-3-3

Trade someone an injured player, forget that they're injured.

Only if you forget the fact I only sold him to you because you actually commented on a post where I publicly stated he was injured...

Re: Week 12 Tactics
- Voter 1:
- Hull v Sunderland
Interesting contrast here. Think Hero is right to use the midfield power, but Trebs has a solid midfield too and I can't see either side getting a massive advantage here. Neither defence is the best, I think Kimmich at RB could be a bit of a weakness with Aubemayang running down the channel and the two wings both decent. I fancy Sunderland's front 3 to cause problems too, think the Hull defence can be got at
I'll go for a high scoring Hull win
Watford v Bournemouth
This one comes down to the midfield and Zlatan for me. I don't really rate Capoue despite his goalscoring form and in this formation a lot of pressure is on him. Bournemouth set up well to counter the 3-4-3, and with Zlatan in such excellent form I think he can bring the 3 behind him into the game and Bournemouth sneak it
- Voter 2:
Hull vs Sunderland - HULL WIN
Trebs has improved his team alot but the injury to Alli denied them any chance of getting a victory here. I like his formation but Redmond drifting wide just gives Hull's CM's acres of space to exploit in the middle.
Watford vs Bournemouth - BOURNEMOUTH WIN
Miky has done a top job so far but the weak link in Kaboul cost them the match. If he can replace him with a superior player then his team will be right up there with no real weaknesses. Nando also needs to improve his defence as Naldo has never been a great defender, decent at best. The match was won when Iwobi got the better of Kaboul when Alonso was attacking leaving him easy pickings.
- Voter 3:
Hull v Sunderland - HULL WIN
I cannot see the counter attacking approach working too well. The Hull defensive have decent pace and with the quality in front, they will be hard to counter against. And I think the combination of Aubameyangs pace and the flair out wide will be too much for Sunderland to contain.
Watford v Bournemouth - WATFORD WIN
A really difficult one to call. I went for Watford on the basis that I think they have that bit more at the back, with extra numbers to contain the Bournemouth defence better, whilst Robben will have more joy against Charlie Daniels
RESULTS
Hull win 3 votes to 0
Bournemouth win 2 votes to 1
