Re: Argentina vs England, 1st Test
That's 6 from 7 now for Ford I think. Some difficult kicks in there too.
Mistake from Argentina on the restart gives England a decent position.

Re: Argentina vs England, 1st Test
Argeniina being naive, they should stuff it up the jumper but they're trying to force the money shot. Never a good result.

Re: Argentina vs England, 1st Test
Silly maul penalty to give away in a silly area to give it. There was no threat.

He's made some great kicks and from distance. I think he looked a bit tired as he took the last one. Running 70 metres to score at that point in the game and it's understandable.

Unsure why Sanchez took the DG there. Helps England out by keeping time on the clock.

Great game, and what a win for this inexperienced England side. The 10/12/13 were brilliant.

Re: Argentina vs England, 1st Test
My god what a game
I've never seen a debut like Solomona.. 3 awful missed tackles then does that with ball in hand
Curry, Genge, Wilson of the debut starters absolutely brilliant, Ford and Launchbury were excellent and really led the backs and pack respectively

Re: Argentina vs England, 1st Test
Really really positive. You'll get that with young guys. Some great things some which simply show inexperience. Good showing and re bonus of a win. I'm rearing myself in regards to the lions and this but this is pretty much a scratch side and they should get better next week.

Re: Argentina vs England, 1st Test
Collier made a big difference to the scrum when he came on. Solomona was all at sea but recovered well. Slade had some nice touches, as did Francis. Maunder looks like the right pick from the young scrum halves.
Curry not quite done yet, but will be good one day. Wilson did a good job and looks like he could be a useful addition to England's back row resources. Be interesting to see if Robshaw is fit and can control the game better next week.

This is an England side missing 30 players to injury and the Lions and featuring 11 debutants. They were playing a near full strength Argentina side away from home; any sort of win under those circumstances is a good win.

Re: Argentina vs England, 1st Test
I think that May was bloody lucky that Owens was on the wrong side at that last ruck before Denny finally proved his worth. He could easily have been pinged for holding on.
Still -hell of a lot for Denny to do but he did it
Lot of good things - a few questionable things but what a game.
