Argentina vs England 2nd test - 8.10pm KO on BBC 2
So with first test a struggle for an inexperienced Argentina side and a mixed bag for England let's hope for a more complete game tonight.
From an England perspective I'd simply like to see an 80 minute performance near the level of last weeks first half. From Argentina I expect they'll have been given a real work over at set piece by their coaches during the week so at the line-out especially I'm expecting a much stronger showing which should challenge England more.
Once again it is being shown on BBC 2 from 8pm for those who want to watch it.
Argentina: M Bustos Moyano (Montpellier); B Agulla (Unattached), G Tiesi (Unattached), G Ascarate (Carcassonne), M Montero (Club Pucara); F Contepomi (Stade Francais), N Vergallo (Southern Kings); G Roan (Cavalieri Prato), M Garcia Veiga (Buenos Aires Cricket and Rugby Club), M Bustos (Montpellier), J Farias Cabello (Unattached), M Galarza (University of La Plata), R Baez (Pampas), B Macome (Tucuman), T Leonardi (Southern Kings).
Replacements: M Guidone (La Plata RC), P Henn (Brive), F Gomez Kodela (Biarritz), E Lozada (Agen), T De la Vega (CUBA), T Cubelli (Belgrano Athletic Club), B Madero (San Isidro), M Orlando (Huirapuca).
England: M Brown (Harlequins); J Joseph (London Irish), K Eastmond (Bath), M Yarde (London Irish); F Burns (Gloucester), L Dickson (Northampton); J Marler (Harlequins), J May (Gloucester), R Webber (Bath), D Wilson (Bath), J Launchbury (Wasps), D Attwood (Bath), T Wood (Northampton, capt), M Kvesic (Worcester), B Morgan (Gloucester).
Replacements: D Paice (London Irish), H Thomas (Sale Sharks), P Doran-Jones (Northampton), C Lawes (Northampton), B Vunipola (Wasps), R Wigglesworth (Saracens), S Myler (Northampton), B Foden (Northampton).
There are the sides as shown on the BBC website but with Christian Wade called up to the Lions I'm really hoping that Jonny May will get a chance in his place. It's a shame for us not to be seeing Wade in action no doubt but May really deserves a start so I hope he takes his chance with both hands.

May is starting in place of Wade - was on the RFU twitter page a couple of hours ago.

Cheers jelly - great news for Jonny, he definitively deserves a chance to show what he's got in a test.

Glad Lancaster didn't move Foden to wing and put May on the bench. Would've liked to have seen Foden at full back instead of Brown but glad he is playing people in their proper positions.

It seems Lancaster has learnt something from the Wales match.
If May plays well that will be a lot of competition for wing. In the 6N we had one out of form winger.

Hope the Argies put up more resistance this time around and actually give us a game. They've made 5 changes, so they should expect better this time around.
As for England, disappointed that we've lost Wade, but there's still a great chance here to win 2-0 and for certain players to force their way into the selectors minds ahead of the autumn.

Strange (encouraging) to think Launchbury is the only player starting in the same position compared to the Wales - England match, with Brown and Wood also in the starting line up. (Can't recall if Marler also started).
And it's probably at least as good a squad as that one - and would be better with Care, Wade and 36 still in.
If England win they'll be about 3.5 ponts ahead of Wales in the IRB world rankings.

A victory for consistency, a win tonight would make it 7 wins out of the last 8 matches for England.

The Argentina centre was down injured so there was confusion in the defensive pattern in midfield - made the defence hesitate

This tour shows how badly Argentina need professional teams. They have a very good first team but they have no dept in the squad whatsoever.

Our defending of pick and goes around the ruck is still not good enough. Good patience from Argentina though.

Too much. I know this is a poor Argie side, but that was clinical. The number of suppor runners and the clearing out there was very, very good. We even, shock horror, hit the line at pace!
