So its the 3rd and final test, with the series tied at 1-1. Who's going to take the series and who is going to win the Predictions game...
So here we go... Let's keep it simple and not turn it into a battle ground.
How about simply using the poll to predict the third test result and add your score prediction below for entry into the competition (no prizes, just for fun)....
Ok, I have used SportForm's Prediction competition rules (hope that's Ok SportForm) and put your predictions in.. (in the spoiler below incase you want to read them)

So here we go... Let's keep it simple and not turn it into a battle ground.

Ok, I have used SportForm's Prediction competition rules (hope that's Ok SportForm) and put your predictions in.. (in the spoiler below incase you want to read them)
- Rules:
1) Each Test you will be asked to predict the scores for that games. All predictions must be made before the start of the game.
2) You will be get points depending on how close you are to the actual score. Points will be awarded in the following way:-
- You will get 20 points for getting the correct match outcome.
- You will get 10 points for getting a teams score correct.
- You will lose one of those 10 points for every point you are away from a teams score. Therefore you must be with 10 points of a teams score to gain points.
- If you get the match score spot on you will be awarded with double points. So if the correctly predict a match's score you will receive a maximum 80 points.
Example:-
Your prediction - All Blacks 17-31 Lions
Actual result - All Blacks 25-31 Lions
Your score 32 points
You would receive 20 points for correctly predicting Lions to win. As you were 8 points off All Blacks' score you get 2 points for that and another 10 points for getting Lions' score spot on.
So the All Black Lions Prediction results so far are:-
- 1st Test:
Postion Player Prediction Score
=1: Pete C (Kiwireddevil) All Blacks 29 - 18 Lions 36 pts

Re: All Blacks v Lions - 3rd Test Predictions
Looking at the teams I think the ABs will slowly grind the Lions down through the first half and probably grab a late try to go in about 16-3 up at HT then begin to go through the gears in the third quarter and when the Lions start really forcing it we are looking at a 40+ points on the board for them and less than 20 for the Lions

Re: All Blacks v Lions - 3rd Test Predictions
If Jordie is viewed as a better kicker than Beauden at Super Rugby level, is it really outlandish to suggest that he'll be given the duties?
I would have thought Milner-Skudder being brought in would have been less of a risk if goalkicking wasn't being considered
https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/all-blacks/94442158/lions-tour-should-jordie-barrett-kick-goals-for-the-all-blacks-in-deciding-test
Doesn't seem that outlandish a prediction if your own websites are suggesting it

Re: All Blacks v Lions - 3rd Test Predictions
Guys a reminder... This thread is a PREDICTION thread not intended for general banter (me being nice there...). So please try and keep on topic, as its difficult to find your score predictions between all the WORDS...
As for the SCORE predictions, to try and win the Prediction game for this 3rd Test, even if you haven't added previous predictions to win the series, you MUST GIVE A SCORE PREDICTION. Saying All Blacks by 20 or Lions by 20 isn't good enough to be put into the game. Rules are on the opening thread if you want to recheck how the game is scored...
Been away working this week, so not kept up to date here...
So for clarity sake (and only for clarity).. the score predictions I have so far for the 3rd test are...
Player Prediction
No9 All Blacks 24 - 26 Lions
majesticimperialman All Blacks 15 - 18 Lions
ebop All Blacks 9 - 6 Lions
RuggerRadge2611 All Blacks 45 - 21 Lions
Hood83 All Blacks 35 - 9 Lions
Griff All Blacks 18 - 25 Lions
compelling and rich All Blacks 31 - 17 Lions
TightHEAD All Blacks 34 - 19 Lions
Hazel Sapling All Blacks 42 - 26 Lions
Engine#4 All Blacks 45 - 23 Lions
Taylorman All Blacks 43 - 6 Lions
mikey_dragon All Blacks 28 - 31 Lions
Pete330v2 All Blacks 32 - 10 Lions
No 7&1/2 All Blacks 23 - 34 Lions
NOTE: If you have put a score predication for the 3rd test and its not in the list above, I've missed it, so please put it in again below.
Please DO NOT change your prediction ABOVE this post, as I'm not going to go through the posts above again. If you do want to change it, then post a change BELOW this post and I'll catch it and make the adjustment.
Thanks... and good luck to all.

Joint third with Bam? I'll settle for that. Settling for joint third, typical Scottish mentality, I should be aiming to be first!!!!

How is the scoring calculated in this anyway? Compelling and rich got 8 points for predicting 31-17 today while I only got 7 for predicting a closer score! Don't do a recalc though! I might end up not the winner!

Re: All Blacks v Lions - 3rd Test Predictions
But your all talk Taylorman and yet again you were very very wrong
I have never seen a side squander so many opportunities to win a game but for a NZ side to do it well you have today that the wheel has come off. Tactically inept now twice with Hansen deciding to remove Kaino last week and now totally unable to realize that the way to beat the Lions was to kick themselves into position and then inevitably they would have won the penalties, though that said their kicker was shocking too.
NZ seem to automatically resort to dirty play when under pressure and Kaino's challenge should be referred.
Simple fact is that there is a simple blueprint to start challenging this self appointed superiority the NZ team have been enjoying and that is aggressive defense; they just can't handle the pressure and the handling errors come thick and fast.

I have said it before and I will say it again. The AB's are no more a dirty side than any other team playing international rugby. It probably gets more highlighted as they are the best team especially when you look at sides like Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, SA and Argentina who have a strong reputation for cynical play... Hell even Ireland has had a history for cynical play...

Yes same goes with the haka. You don't see the constant anti haka talk about the Samoan, Tongan, Fijian versions. No coincidence that those sides are beatable?

In fairness, but not in defence, of Gwlad. Some of the Kiwi posters have been very poor during this series.

Situation normal, the supreme arrogance is back.
A scratch side of tourists on a ridiculous schedule just showed NZ are very very beatable.
