All Blacks v Lions - 3rd Test Predictions
First topic message reminder :
So its the 3rd and final test, with the series tied at 1-1. Who's going to take the series and who is going to win the Predictions game...
So here we go... Let's keep it simple and not turn it into a battle ground.
How about simply using the poll to predict the third test result and add your score prediction below for entry into the competition (no prizes, just for fun)....
Ok, I have used SportForm's Prediction competition rules (hope that's Ok SportForm) and put your predictions in.. (in the spoiler below incase you want to read them)
So the All Black Lions Prediction results so far are:-

So its the 3rd and final test, with the series tied at 1-1. Who's going to take the series and who is going to win the Predictions game...
So here we go... Let's keep it simple and not turn it into a battle ground.

Ok, I have used SportForm's Prediction competition rules (hope that's Ok SportForm) and put your predictions in.. (in the spoiler below incase you want to read them)
- Rules:
1) Each Test you will be asked to predict the scores for that games. All predictions must be made before the start of the game.
2) You will be get points depending on how close you are to the actual score. Points will be awarded in the following way:-
- You will get 20 points for getting the correct match outcome.
- You will get 10 points for getting a teams score correct.
- You will lose one of those 10 points for every point you are away from a teams score. Therefore you must be with 10 points of a teams score to gain points.
- If you get the match score spot on you will be awarded with double points. So if the correctly predict a match's score you will receive a maximum 80 points.
Example:-
Your prediction - All Blacks 17-31 Lions
Actual result - All Blacks 25-31 Lions
Your score 32 points
You would receive 20 points for correctly predicting Lions to win. As you were 8 points off All Blacks' score you get 2 points for that and another 10 points for getting Lions' score spot on.
So the All Black Lions Prediction results so far are:-
- 1st Test:
Postion Player Prediction Score
=1: Pete C (Kiwireddevil) All Blacks 29 - 18 Lions 36 pts
=1: highland_scot All Blacks 29 - 12 Lions 36 pts

Looks that way Cyril. Guess if the ABs win there's no real need to be gracious about it. Can put the boot in with a clear conscience.

That atitude towards refs is probably why the ABs think they can do whatever they want on the pitch and get away with. It probably explains why they are quite an ill diciplined side.
Nah, it doesnt. Care to share the stats?
First red in sixty years? Nah
Oh and looky at the stats, 17 red cards from the four lions based sides in that period, 7 that have played for the Lions and three from Ireland.
Wash your mouth out guns these guys are lucky to get through customs at their rate of red.
Shameful

That's right Tman, we're told how cynical the ABs are but the Lions have survived so far off cynical play on and off the field. Oh well, some people will never open their other eye.Taylorman wrote:ebop wrote:Some don't like inconvenient facts ehTaylorman wrote:ebop wrote:What was the penalty count last week?

Cynical is it?
try filthy dirty, but then hey we know from 05 that what the rest of the world regard as dirty , NZ regard as 'cynical'.

Oh, so it's the perceived unofficial ill disciplined ABs, the one where they get away with everything but for some reason never show up in the statistics, but rather on forums instead.
Yes we've heard of them.

sure you have, they were the ones who got away with murder. like Umaga and Mealamu and who are now being held to account and to the same standards as the rest of us like SBW. Isn't that great, to feel equal to the rest of us?

And yet Mako gets a slap on the wrist and SOB gets let off scott free and Marler tackles a player off the ball and the Lions get penalised off the park last week for constant cynical penalties but no YCs for it. Yeah. Double standards all right and it's all one way traffic. Suppose it was nice of the officials to a make the series interesting.Gwlad wrote:Taylorman wrote:Oh, so it's the perceived unofficial ill disciplined ABs, the one where they get away with everything but for some reason never show up in the statistics, but rather on forums instead.

Anyway this being a prediction thread you have bigger things to worry about like having a clown as your next coach, I expect he'll whip you boys into shape on the 'discipline' front. You can all thank the WRU for your 3rd seasoned coach

Dublin 2016. Fact.
Henshaw and Stander concussed and Kearney with post match concussive symptoms. Fact.
Henshaw (like Watson) shoulder to the jaw. Fact.
Henshaw unconscious before he hit the ground Fact.
11 citing referrals in 1 game for NZ play. Fact
We know how NZ retaliate when they lose. Fact.
The Facts speak for themselves. Fact.
How d'ya like them Facts?

See, there you go again, selective with the facts, makes my point for me
Wow, you're obsession with my movements is more disturbing than my Doctor's
Keep talking yourselves up big man and lets see how many red and yellow cards you score this weekend, lets face it, you can't score tries (or kicks)

Come on fellas. Hose yourselves down with a big (all black) fire engine hose... with a small red nozzle.
Still thinking about my prediction. Made a complete bell-arse of the last one. I don't deserve "4" points for that! Oughta be -4.
You idiot!
Ohhh... look who's touchy now.

All good, its just the old fake news getting in the way again.
Those quoting henshaw are blind to SOBs actions and makos intent to injure barrett.
Hmm, swings and roundabouts methinks.

Yeah it's just white noise before a game. Many on here take their medicine but a couple bottle it and go awol (on 'holiday') because they are sore losers. Yet they're the first to appear and get all frothy when their team beats a 14 man ABs

The All Blacks will have had a word with World Rugby and the Ref will be told/leaned on to Ref the game in the SH way.
The Lions don't stand a chance.

Id imagine thats why for nearly all Lions tours there are two SH refs and only one NH refs.

Re: All Blacks v Lions - 3rd Test Predictions
If Mako starts and plays as poorly at scrum time as the second test Poite will yellow card him by half time and thus hand the game to NZ.
He struggled against the Clermont scrum in the Champions final and his apparent scrummaging improvement is just that: apparent and not real. Also, when he feels under pressure in the scrum, he starts giving away cheap penalties in the loose.
McGrath has to start to give the Lions a chance.
NZ win by 10 to 15 points (assuming they keep 15 on the pitch)

Re: All Blacks v Lions - 3rd Test Predictions
How was Mako to blame at scrum time when the Kiwi Prop was lying on his belly?

Re: All Blacks v Lions - 3rd Test Predictions
NZ team named at 6pm apparently - Jordie Barrett likely to start at 15 is the rumour
Unlike last week, they'll have a reliable kicker (at club level anyway)

Really? I've seen Jordie miss terribly this year.
You think he's going to improve on Barretts 100% first test and 70% second test in his first test, after playing half a season of Super rugby, while at Fullback, in the decider of a tense Lions series?
Reliable kicker? Huge assumption. Be surprised if he's given kicking duties on top of all that.

BamBam has read a headline somewhere and taken it at face value.

Yep, because the All Blacks normally collapse in the last 20No 7&1/2 wrote:More in hope than expectation....

He he, he might be right, Hansen is building a reputation for throwing players in the deep end, and he's got a very good track record for it. Savea came in very soon after the U 20s, Ioane first test etc.
If he's confident of him starting at Fullback, such a difficult position to master at test level, he just might have thrown him the kitchen sink, kicking as well.
I'm really playing devils advocate there but that's one of the things I like about Hansen. He keeps pushing the boundaries of what he thinks he can get out of his players.
