Yeah, not sure how Kyle Walker-Peters got rave reviews, Atsu had him beat with ease. Up until the sending off, Spurs were hopeless in all honesty & we looked pretty solid. The injuries, along with Shelvey's display, ruined our game though. Disappointed not to see Murphy or Aarons.

Yeah I thought that....all the reviews said Walker-Peters star in the making, but Atsu repeatedly went past him with ease.

Awful performance yesterday.

I'm struggling to see what Perez is currently offering the side. He did nothing, nor did Gayle. I personally though Joselu offered far more than both managed in his short cameo, also, Murphy gave us the spark we needed, and Merino looks very assured.

I'd suggest Rafa should look at either going 4-4-2 with Gayle & Joselu up top, or 3-5-2 with Manquillo & Ritchie as wing backs.

Better this weekend...but is that because we played better or West Ham are just that bad.

Joselu looked useful. Difficult to judge where we are on this form, need a few more games...

We looked more assured going forward with Joselu up there. Certianly gave us something to aim at, and Merino was again superb in the middle. I hope Rafa finds a way for him and Jonjo to work together.

Mitro being Mitro again, I understand he somewhat divides the fans, but it's hard to back him when he does stupid things like that. He'll avoid a ban though.

Yeah Merino looks a good one. Hopefully he can develop and we can keep him permanently .

We were talking about Mitro at the weekend. The only thing he can do is continue to score as he seems to be doing. I think hes got quite a few so far this season including friendlies. And that's all that matters when your a striker.

I think 3-4-5 games down the line will give us a bit more clarity on form, how good we are and our chances of staying up.

Im more concerned about Rafa staying. He's not getting the financial support I think he expected from Ashley. But I can understand Ashley also...the market has simply gone crazy now...an example being Everton after £50m for Ross Barkley...I mean come on.

However Ashley still has to spend some money!

I'm not convinced that he hasn't received the money he was promised. We got £47m for getting promoted, we've spent just shy of £30m, and we know there is still money to spend.

There should be money to spend...the question is....will it be made available.

We've been linked with plenty, and our advisors travelling around, i'd say it's been made available.

We don't have money like everyone else because of high wages and the money we got.

De Jong, Hanley already gone, and still trying to offload Colback to Wolves. Can see Ashley just reducing wage bill & seeing how things pan out until January.

I reckon a couple of loan moves will come in.

If Gayle is on the move I reckon Perez, Origi or Remy.

As much as i love Rafa being at the club, he felt he had a blank chequebook at Liverpool, Napoli and Madrid, so he needs to lower his expectations for this season.

Yes about survival...but he was promised a few signings and he's not got remotely what he wanted (although I think that Merino is a good bit of business as long as we can keep him)

I genuinely believe if no one comes in today...his time will be seriously limited and he'll be away.

I think the over inflated market is partly to blame. We needed so many positions, GK, LB, CB, CM, 2 x CF, a winger. In days gone by you could pick 3 maybe 4 of them up for £50m. Now? Michael Keane, Pickford going at nearly £30m each, Gylfi at £49m, Ox at £40m. These are ridiculous fees. Andre Gray for nearly £20m, he scored 10 goals in all Comps last year.

Gray for that, or Perez for £13m. I know who i'd rather.

Wages have been the issue, unfortunately we've left it late to get rid of players, but that's because of the idiotic salaries we paid people like De Jong and Colback.

I completely agree with the market...it has just gone utterly insane. And I would be hesitant paying some of those ridiculous fees.

I see we're linked with the Southampton left back Target and have bid £8m for some Turkish striker from Beskitas.

And Gayle subject of £20m bids from Fulham and Leeds. Why is Gayle not being given a chance in the Prem...I thought he would score goals...

And I hope Mitro isn't off either.

Perez is still the most likely striker to sign. Saw on Twitter some Journo saying personal terms have been agreed.

Leeds aren't in for Gayle, they signed Lasogga, remember him? And another player from Malmo today. Fulham's bid for Gayle is still on the table, so i would hope they are sorting the striker before accepting it.

Lucas Perez is definitely the key target however talk is now that he is off to Deportivo in Spain.

And the bid for the Turkish striker has been rejected they want £12m not 8 that Newcastle have offered.

Ashley could well finish today with a lower wage bill than in the championship and making a profit in transfers!!! That's outrageous.

And now Gayle is staying...great treatment of a young lad who did great last season and with chances could very well score in the prem.

As I said above...a few bad results and Rafa will be gone.

Until that muppet at the top is finally gone this club will go absolute nowhere and bounce between prem and championship...and once the decent managers start refusing to come...there wont be no bouncing back to the prem either.

You've then got Yedlin, Murphy, Manquillo, Aarons who can cover the wing back position until Dummett is fit.

Rafa is a 4-2-3-1 man. Unfortunately, Perez is a lock in. #undroppable.

For the time being, I think Rafa will go like this, especially following that WHU win. It's a distinctly average line-up, but one he seems to prefer. We do have some decent depth on the bench though to call upon.

Going to be a long, long, long season. I'd take 17th now.

Delighted & happy to be sitting ninth. Thought a lot of people massively underestimated the impact Rafa would make, in comparison to what we had to endure under McClaren. We're organised, defensively solid & the spirit is great in the dressing room.

As for the side, can't complain with the defence or midfield. The final third is the glaring issue. Ayoze Perez offers absolutely nothing in the 10 role, and Joselu gives me no confidence whatsoever.

Also saw Amanda Staveley at the match yesterday, possibly negotiating a take over?

I think Perez is an issue. I agree he's not doing anything yet Rafa seems to like him. Gayle is a way better striker than Joselu.

The club is still up for sale by all accounts, but its irrelevant we'll not get any players in this transfer window now that genuinely matter. Certainly not the genuine goalscorer we seriously need!

Relegation a real possibility now. If that happens..Rafa will be gone like a shot!

I thought Albert Luque and Xisco were bad, but Joselu has taken it to a completely new level. Beyond embarrassing his continued selection, something which Rafa must be made accountable for. Made worse, we’ve sent Aleksander Mitrovic to Fulham on loan. Mind-boggling.

I think it’s curtains for us, we’ve not won at home since October.
