SURREY VS GLOUCESTERSHIRE NATWEST T20 BLAST
Surrey have named a 13 man squad for tonight’s crucial NatWest T20 Blast clash with Gloucestershire at the Kia Oval.
Mark Stoneman is away with England and hopefully rocky 2 will be better
KP is still on the treatment table feel he should come back next year as a thank you to the rhinos.
Full Surrey Squad
Gareth Batty (captain)
Scott Borthwick
Rory Burns
Rikki Clarke
Sam Curran
Tom Curran
Jade Dernbach
Aaron Finch
Ben Foakes
Moises Henriques
Stuart Meaker
Ollie Pope
Jason Roy
Probably Foakes and Meaker to miss out
Over to you chaps

Clever work with the Rocky 2 tagline, JimBob!
Agree with you about Foakes and Meaker likely to miss out.
You going tonight? I'm at home making do with Churchy on the radio.

98/6 off 16. Keep 'em under 130 from here. Don't let Smith come in and biff a few - smallish guy but he can hit.
Brilliant effort from Sam - 4/13 off his 4.
Watch out for Howell and Smith with the ball.

130-9 off 20 overs
If we can't chase that down we deserve to go out

Re: SURREY VS GLOUCESTERSHIRE NATWEST T20 BLAST
Gloucs end up 130/9 off their 20. No one properly got in and got going.
Generally a good bowling performance, spearheaded by Sam - he needed a decent return after a few wobbly performances. The Meaker / Borthwick combo (0/42 off 4) didn't really work although, I guess, could have been worse. Henriques not given the ball at all - unless he comes up with something special very soon, pretty sure we'll be looking elsewhere for our t20 overseas in 2018.
Gloucs don't have any world beaters in their attack but the likes of Howell and Smith often do well in this format. Anyway, it's still ours to win or lose from here.

Making hard work of this. Need 20 off 16 balls with 4 wickets left.

Re: SURREY VS GLOUCESTERSHIRE NATWEST T20 BLAST
Scraped through by two wickets in the last over. Sounds like a very scrappy batting performance with number of runouts. Henriques made a decent score, but not much else of note. Rikki Clarke didn't last long with the bat but he hit a few boundaries and got the required run rate back down to manageable levels.
Pleased that Sam Curran starred with the ball and did reasonably OK with bat - he's not had the best of seasons.

''Scraped through'', as the Corporal says, seems about right.
We'll need to play better tomorrow at Kent.

Horrible nerve jangling performance with the bat. We seem to have a team of bits and pieces players but at least we bat deep: boy, did we need the skipper's cool head to ensure we flopped inelegantly over the line. On to Canterbury tonight (son based there has got us tickets
