Star Wars
I'm a huge Star Wars fan, can't get enough of the original trilogy and Revenge Of The Sith. Phantom Menace and Attack Of The Clones were okay but I love the other four, especially Empire, Jedi and Revenge Of The Sith.
Some favourite fights
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSwy412nttI - Anakin vs Obi Wan
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkrGSv2cv3s - Luke vs Vader
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxm4dmjl0jM - Attack Of The Clones Arena battle
You're always bound to find Star Wars fans wherever you go. Show yourselves.

Re: Star Wars
I like the original trilogy, and Revenge of the Sith. I actually think Phantom Menace is not as bad as people make out, and Attack of the Clones is alright as well.
I don't like Return of the Jedi that much though, I think the Ewoks are on par with Jar Jar Binks in terms of stupidity.
I think the best is Empire Strikes Back, then Revenge of the Sith, then New Hope, then Return of the Jedi, then Phantom Menace and then Attack of the Clones.
My favourite thing about all the films though is the music. John Williams at his very best.

Re: Star Wars
I prefer Attack of the clones over Phantom Menace.
But maybe thats to do with my age.
I saw Empire and Jedi at the cinema at an early age and my expectations for Phantom Menace was sky high. I saw it on the day it was pre released at 10.15 in the morning (I took a day off work) - never been so disappointed.
New Hope is still my favourite, followed by Empire, Jedi, Sith, Clones, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Phantom Menace.

Re: Star Wars
But Phantom Menace has Darth Maul! Only Darth Vader can rival him in terms of how cool he is.
I hated Phantom Menace for ages, even when it first came out, and I prefered Attack of the Clones, but I rewatched all the Star Wars, maybe a year ago and actually enjoyed Phantom Menace more, you just have to ignore the parts with Jar Jar Binks.

Re: Star Wars
Darth Maul is definitely a redeeming feature of Phantom Menace. However not even HE is cool enough to make up for Jar Jar Binks.

Re: Star Wars
Darth Maul wasn't cool enough to make up for Jar Jar and Sebulba.
I'm not really into New Hope as I was 7 when the films were re-released in cinemas and enjoyed the fights in Empire and Jedi. I remember going to see Clones with my Dad when I was 11 and he fell asleep. Me and my friends missed the FA Cup final to go see Revenge Of The Sith, and we went to see it again three times that week.

But the Ewoks are just as bad! They use rocks to destroy the Empire!

Re: Star Wars
I love the original three Star Wars films, not so fond of the new ones. Although that maybe due to the fact that most of my childhood memories involve playing with my my Star Wars toys in my friends back garden and building sets for them out of paper mache.
One of my favourite Christmas memories was getting the Millenium Falcon from Santa and watching Star Wars a New Hope that afternoon.
Plus the first time I went to the pictures was to see a double bill of Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back.
That was long before the new ones arrived on the scene.

Re: Star Wars
I had a Naboo Starfighter which had a pop out R2 and laser sound effects with a 2 inch young Anakin toy to drive it and a 5 inch (Ewan McGregor)Obi Wan, Luke, Han Solo, Qui Gon, Darth Vader and Darth Maul figures with moving arms and legs. When I was younger I got a Millenium Falcon for Christmas.
I used to have about 100 army soldier toys with three tanks and four helicopters similar to my 5 nch Star Wars figures. They were Vader and Maul's army and I used the Naboo Starfighter, Millenium Falcon and my Thunderbird 2 toys as the Jedi's ships and the 5 of them would defeat the army and then take on Vader and Maul, which would result in Maul and Luke killing eachother and Obi-Wan defeating Vader in an epic lightsaber dual.

Re: Star Wars
I was spoilt rotten with Star Wars toys as a kid,
ATat, Scout Walker, Rancor, Falcon, X Wing, Tie Fighter, Sail Barge, Rebel Transport Ship, Snowspeeder, landspeeder, tauntaun, Ewok Village, Slave 1, speeder bike, ewok catapult, Hoth defence guns, well over 100 figures.
My gran gave them all away as well as my huge Transformer & Zoids collection to the local charity shop.

When I was 10 my next door neighbour had every Star Wars toy going but he treated them like china dolls, although I was happy with what I had and my imagination.
I took my Obi Wan figure with me everywhere.
Re: Star Wars
I looked after mine too, all still had the accessories, none were broke etc.
I hate seeing how much they go for nowadays realising how many of them I had.

Was terrible. I remember one year going on so much for it. And what do I get. A Watch!!
A matching watch that my brother also was given so we had the same!
Its a mental scar.

Re: Star Wars
I sold my whole collection for £35 back in 1990.
Well my mother did - loads of figures, ATAT, scout walker, Tauntaun, Hoth Wampa etc.
Might be this to cheer me up http://www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=61281

Love it, it starts off with:
"Had a long day fending off wampas and sub-zero temperatures? Inspired by the arctic beast of burden seen at the opening of The Empire Strikes Back, the brand new Tauntaun sleeping bag has everything a drowsy Jedi needs to survive the night"
And ends with:
"For indoor use only. Not suitable for camping"

Re: Star Wars
That's great.
I once tried looking for a costume for Halloween and general fancy dress parties but to get a realistic looking one it costs around £250!

Re: Star Wars
I've still got my Millenium Falcon (it's 25 years old now) and an x-wing fighter plus some of the original figures. Would never sell them though to many memories.

Big fan of Imperial Stormtroopers.
Not a fan of the more recent star wars films though.

Re: Star Wars
I loved the Star Wars films. I was so sad when they ended the series and even resorted to watching the Clone Wars.
Revenge Of The Sith is my favourite. Just love how Anakin's slow descend to the darkside was superb.
I was a fan of the bounty hunters.
