Morning.
We have a rule to discuss.
I was under the impression that a injury could be wiped if a domestic transfer happens for that player.
Its not in the rules and I think we just agreed it here but I cant remember.
Thoughts?

I was under the impression that an injury is an injury regardless of domestic transfers. Hence why I didn't play Foyth (who was Fussball) and Ljajic (who was Shakhtar) in my tactics after transfers for them.
Things might have changed since I last played this but thought it was a pretty standard rule. Marky for instance warned me of Ljajic being injured before I confirmed the transfer.

Injuries aren't wiped out when transferred unless specified surely.
If it wasn't specified then they're injured because they came up injured. Seems a no brainer to me.

Agreed
Although I'm also of the opinion that lawyer offers should transfer with a player, but everyone disagrees on that

Well people shouldnt be able to make the decisions if thats what you mean, if they dont carry across then thats the rule.

Yeah it was really good cheers, my Mrs is usually a bit Karl Pilkington when she goes to see things (turns up, looks at it for 30 seconds and is then bored) but we were up there for a good couple of hours and would have stayed longer if we didn't have to go for the meal. We'd love to take the kids but not sure we'd pay £100 for a full family!

And I agree with everyone in regards to the injury, it wasn't stated in the rules, I think at best it was just a consideration and one we didn't go ahead with.

Sorry - my interpretation of the rules is usually if it's not clarified then we go by whatever was done in the previous iteration of the league.
Do agree with Bam that lawyers should be transferable as well btw.

If that's the case hand Rashford over to me.

I don’t get the logic of transferring over a lawyer, nor injuries magically clearing up in transfer.

1. The foreign club are still interested in buying the player at that price and would still offer the same amount.
2. This is to try to encourage domestic transfers. It's standard procedure on the 'other' website

Re: Challenge League Homepage II
It encourages domestics, it's more useful I'd say in the leagues where players get 4 week injuries and there's bigger names included. Gets the likes of Ronaldo being swapped for Messi etc then.

Yeah, I understand that it is designed to stimulate domestics, but in my mind all it would do is generate a load of swaps each week on injured players.

No doubt it would be exploited too if we didnt put a rule in saying swaps have to last at least a few weeks or whatever..

Re: Challenge League Homepage II
I think it fits the league Hero described but not in the way we have it.
I agree with Afro, I dont see how it could work but then I haven't been in a league which had that rule anyway.

It was the case that if returned to the original club during the injury period then the injury returned as well. I used to enjoy it as I used to use it to upgrade off the teams badly affected.

Predictions in. Two nasty games to have to predict, especially as we can't do draws.

Thanks Miky and well played Tino.
All the games looked really close and it is tough to call each week.
Think this justifies not having draws as we would just be seeing 4 draws every week!!!!

Thing is even though I'm disappointed I lost I can see the reasoning behind it in the feedback. That's why I would be more disappointed with a draw as it forces people to make a decision and justify it, rather than taking the "too close to call" route.

Thanks Olly and others for the feedback.
Can I ask for a bit more clarity on my CMs. Is it the worst ever pairing because of the chemistry, they're awful players or what? I'm a bit unsure where to go from this is all.
Well played though Miky.

Trebs, I didn't do your game but your CM's are just functional not sure if that's good, bad or indifferent just not inspiring in anyway

For me they’re fine players Trebs but you need a DM with them can’t play them as a two imo - luckily Miky only played two in CM so you got away with it for me

Re: Challenge League Homepage II
I gave some negative feedback on your CMs.
For me, Wijnaldum wants to be a budget Frank Lampard, getting forward whenever possible
Fellaini is what he is, effective in a role but not good under any kind of pressure.
I just struggled to see how the two of them would move the ball forward with enough effectiveness to get your very good front 4 enough opportunities to attack - I don't see the passing capability to get them the ball in space

Another loss for me .. any ideas where I should be trying to fix first?
Midfield was an issue for me with Sanson/Henderson being injured, but not sure where to go with this
How would you use Rabiot?

Re: Challenge League Homepage II
That's my question
For this particular game it was a tactical decision to play with the two and go ultra attacking.
But in the future I plan to play a DM with the 2 midfielders in a 4-3-3. Would that be acceptable or would I be in for more criticism.

I think even going ultra attacking it needs a CM with the passing ability to get the front 4 going
I'd rate them a lot better with a DM behind them

Fair. Maybe I overrated Wijnaldums creative and passing ability.
So if I had a Rabiot say, that would be rated decently
