Found this on a paper from 7 years ago when sorting out some stuff in my roof.
One thing particularly stood out to me!

Yep. Goes to show how quickly fortunes can change.
Also how good must it have been to go to Peterborough home matches. Average of over 5 goals per game over the course of 15 games.

Justin Kluivert scored a hat trick yesterday. Roll on Jan when I can promote him to first team

Oh and https://mobile.twitter.com/markyholden8/status/934489752207855616 for Jeff Stelling being upset that Ebbsfleet did a number on his precious team.
3-0 and I was there to see it. Good game as well.

Depends if I can afford high speed or not. Gotta get out my place as just no chance of any pay increase in future.
So gotta take a hit to eventually bring in more.

I get that high speed train whenever I need to be in London
Its a pain in the ass financially, but you won't regret it
I think its £6 a day more, but for that I save around 40 mins each way, to me its worth not buying lunch every day

Re: Challenge League Homepage III
You can't put a price on your time.
I used to commute to Bristol every day. At the start it was an hour each way, and with a couple of house moves and increased traffic, in the end it was a minimum of an hour and 15 minutes each way.
In the end, I'd had enough. I took a job for less money, but my commute is 8 minutes each way.
We had to cut back a little, but it is total worth it. I feel better, spend more time at home and when I do have to work a little later, I don't begrudge it at all.

My current job is 2 hours round the M25 every morning .. currently searching for a move back into Zone 1 so I can get that ruddy high speed train and pay through the nose for it!
Took this job because I couldn't get anyone to give me a chance in a similar role in Central London, 18 months later I reckon its time for the move
Can't agree more on time Afro

everyones situation is different...I used to have a job I loved 11am-10pm...but found a missus had kids etc it's not great for family life...I know earn less but have a solid 9-5 job...rather have the extra time with the wife and kids (they may be reading this) than an extra couple of grand

Tobacco company, but not selling. Counting the money.
Now counting less money for a smaller, local company

Just inspires me to look for a new job. I commute over an hour a day, pay just over £1000 for an annual tram ticket across Greater Manchester. To you Londoners I bet that's nothing though
At least it's 9-5.05

That high speed train we're talking about costs around £5k a year
Live in London and pay it on rent, or live in a nicer place just outside London and spend it on the train

I crossed the Severn Bridge for 13 and a half year, and paid over a grand year for the toll.
Now I don't do it, they've announced they are getting rid of the toll.

If I get it I will be 6 grand better off in pay. Bit difficult for me to work out but spend roughly 250 in petrol a month. But a high speed travel card would be 6900.
I can do it and got options but just that time v money balance you are all correct stating the importance of.

Well that's £3,900 more in cost, but also take into account that (depending on your tax rate), you have to earn around £5k more before tax to be able to pay that £3,900

Effectively £3.9k more travel cost for £6k salary increase and future prospects
Depends where the job is I guess, if its close to St Pancras then you won't mind the journey, if its a few tube changes away then probably not!
