2-0 Utd win. Mourinho and final victories go hand in hand.
Can see a red card along the way.

Mourinho needs this, Conte looks slightly less than bothered.

Would say Conte needs it more as he currently looks a bit rubbish.
Thankfully, Hazard has found form as the season finished and has them 1 up

Depressing thing is Pogba has also been their best player.
So many limited, workmanlike players. Valencia is so easy to defend against, Matic is a holding midfielder who can’t be trusted to defend against the one attacking midfielder Chelsea have, Jones and Smalling are Jones and Smalling.

Man Utd lacking in keeping the ball, your basic fundamental error and too often.
Chelsea, so far, the only threat.

The only positive thing pogba has done is avoid fouling fabregas on the edge of our box. He has put i one of the worst performances I've ever seen today.

As if to clarify my rating of pogba he has just kissed a free header from 6 yards - a Sunday league player would have buried that.

Hard to change tactics when the players are incapable.
Not seen a worse squad in 25 years of following united, they are Frak crap.
Chelsea haven't even tried to take part in a game today and are going to win!!!!

Pogba still probably United’s best player today.
Jose Mourinho culture - grind and grind and if it doesn’t work? Try to grind it.
7 defenders on the pitch basically.

Man Utd's gameplay was incomplete with barely any real threat which meant they lost and Chelsea won.

Pogba easily Uniteds best player today. Mourinho right with his post game comments. If United had put in the performance Chelsea did today the parking the bus comments would be plastered everywhere.
Did himself no favours with the way he sent Herrera and Lingard out defensively. Sanchez was pretty poor all round and thought he should of come off before Rashford/Lingard.
And how hard is it to get the ball over the first man at a corner

Can't wait until Pogba goes to play for a team that considers disengaging the handbrake at some point.

Pogba puts the handbrake on, he turns backwards in good possession every time.
He is an absolute chump, a nothing player, an emphasis of everything that is wrong with the modern game including social media.
I feel sorry for anyone who has ever rated him.

Pogba is beyond inconsistent and has his own issues. But there are clear glimpses of why he can be a game changing weapon. The chance before half-time when he drove United from their own half to a chance in the area.
Don't see him ever being that player under Mourinho consistently though

Conte is more responsible for his own exit than some would have believe. But a PL and FA cup is a good enough resume for him to have another go on these shores

Re: FA Cup 17/18 Thread
Not sure Conte leaves now. Think he was manoeuvring himself for the Italian national job throughout the season, but now Mancini has it, and given this F.A Cup win, it might see him end up staying.
As for Pogba, he showcases plenty of style, but little substance. A player who will forever provide glimpses, with which people will defend him by, but nothing consistent has ever been produced by him, judging by his United stint, and looking at his career stats. 25 now, produced two seasons of nothingness at United, following an anonymous European championships for France.
I’m not sure what he is, and worryingly, neither does he. If anything, he’s been more effective as a marketing tool for the club & Adidas, which further showcases how ineffective he’s been on the field.

Chelsea's win will cause Utd to have a thorough think about the future and what needs to be done.
The papers are already going wild with the usual moronic speculation, god knows what's next.
No doubt losing the FA cup to Chelsea will, hopefully, kickstart Utd's season.
Fabian Ruiz anyone?

Think Mourinho has to come away with the PL next year or at least a good CL run. When he's not winning the exit tends to be engineered sooner

He'll fall out with half of his squad, staff and superiors within the next year anyway, he always does.
I doubt he's at the helm on the first day of the 2019/20 season.

It was a quite dreadful final, with Hazard the only shining light. Man U didn't start playing until around half an hour to go.
Lots of players seemingly terrified of going forward, trying to beat players, make runs. Always the safe option - play it sideways or backwards and never risk losing possession.

Be interested in seeing a Chelsea team that builds around Hazard rather than relying on him to be the only threat.

I decided to work some over time rather than watch the game. From what I'm hearing about United's performance plus with them getting beat, I made the correct decision.

With a stadium build, and no champions league football, the question is whether they have to sell Hazard, to even begin that rebuild process. Going to struggle to attract top names to support Hazard with no CL on offer.
Hazard might want out anyway, if his agent sniffs anything remotely on.

Exactly this. Would love to see him play in a team that actually attacks and goes for it.
And I highly doubt it is up to Conte whether he stays or not, he’s burned too many bridges with the board and with the players with some of his comments and seemingly dialling out for several months mid season. Get someone new in, get Hazard and equally Courtois signed up long term and things suddenly look a lot rosier.

Burned his bridges upstairs i think. Conte's not entirely blameless, he knew going in how Chelsea work as a club. Seems to work for them to be fair.

Re: FA Cup 17/18 Thread
mourinho is in danger of becoming the new wenger, great success early on but too stubborn/big a ego to change his ways even though they are out dated. i agree with others that he will find a way out soon, he never could take it when he doesn't get his way. ive no idea who we would go for but as long as its a attacking manger i wouldn't mind, pains me to see liverpool having a more successful season (even if they dont win Saturday) playing klopps brand of football
will say that the safety first pass it sideways approach had been instilled in this squad under LVG, jose prefers a lump it up. and with out lukaku we literally had no plan B whatsoever. should have brought felliani on instead of mata.
on pogba, ive said it in the past but he just looks like a headless chicken. doesn't seem to have a brain to read the game. stick a carricks head on his shoulders and he'd be a world beater because hes got all the physical attributes and can certainly pick a pass. never really watched him for juve, the few games i did i wasn't overly impressed. always outshone by marchiso or pirlo, who basically gave him a free ride in midfield. at the minute he's a luxury player, but hes young enough to still improve and has shown glimpses
