To be honest I don't really see the point on it, if I wanted to go like fishing I'd have a Facebook account. But whatever.
I'd be more intent on Rashford in particular developing centrally rather than following the Danny Welbeck career plan.

Re: Winter Transfer Window 17/18
I think Mourinho’s interest in Alexis Sanchez stems from the rumours that Zlatan is looking to terminate his deal and jet off to the MLS. Alexis isn’t necessarily a player on suited to playing in the inside left channel. He’s got the pace and vision to play at either 9 or 10.
Id be gutted if Alexis left but is now is certain we’ve reached the point of no return.
I’m still peed about RvP, but Alexis to United it better than City. Also I’d happily take Henrikh and some cash

Gap between Arsenal and United is 8 points.
Gap between Arsenal and City is 23.
Know who I'd rather be selling my best player to...

If Alexis went to City the gap might end up being 30pts +. If United can reel in City then it’s fair game next season.

Fair game for United. Not Arsenal. City are gone, focus on who you can chase.

Arsenal should be thinking about how to win the league. That should be their ambition, regardless.

They’re not catching United regardless. So either is different to Liverpool or Tottenham in the short term. And selling might be better short term too a short his effort has been low.

Re: Winter Transfer Window 17/18
The problem in the modern game is once a player decides he wants to move eventually the player will get their move. Sánchez doesn’t want to play for Arsenal so if we can get some money and potentially player it’s good business. I’ll be in a thunderous mood if Mourinho gets Sánchez and Ozil....

Why? They haven't exactly propelled arsenal to great heights.
Don't particularly want either.
Arsenal have yet again created their own problems by having their 2 key attacking players entering into the final year of their contract at the same time.

Whether they’ve underachieved or not both are capable of doing a lot more. Potentially at United they’ll return to their true levels. Which is what would make it more painful.

Can I put money on nothing happening until 2 days to go in the window when Arsenal cave and try to buy Malcolm, mess up and he leaves for nothing in the summer

Sanchez must be better than every (outfield - De Gea is #1 worldwide son) player at Man United, aside possibly Pogba.

Finally we might be able to avoid lining up against the big boys with Henderson or Can (or both) in the starting line up.

Re: Winter Transfer Window 17/18
Been poor at Leipzig this season, compared to last, and he’s been a walking red card recently. Similar to Xhaka, he might need a season to adjust, in terms of controlling his temperament. Should be an upgrade on Henderson though, at the very least.

Looks like the Sanchez saga is finally coming to an end, axed from today’s squad. Definitely heading to Manchester, just depends where he likes red or blue...

Be amazed if he ends up at united. Much like the lukaku move I think we'd be getting a player we don't really need and paying over the odds just to annoy a rival club.

Re: Winter Transfer Window 17/18
Strange this deal. Felt from the beginning, both clubs seem pressured into signing him. Might be in the minority, but think he’s been poor for a while, a view shared back in Chile too. Don’t think his signing will have the on-field impact that the RVP deal had.

Re: Winter Transfer Window 17/18
He’s better than any of the players United have in the positions he’ll play so I’d go for it. Can play in the champions league too. Plus Mourinho’s has obviously given up on Mkhi.

Don't think hes particularly given a **** for a while either. Arsenal should've sold him in the summer, its undermined the entire team.

Hard to believe, given the way Ambramovich has altered Chelsea’s transfer policy, especially for players around that age. New stadium on the horizon too, so doubtful they intend to get involved with this deal, and pay Sanchez those ridiculous wages being mentioned.

Mourinho wants Sanchez to rubs his nuts in Guardiola's face. Conte trying to get one over Mourinho, when Mourinho is essentially destroying ending his Chelsea career.

Re: Winter Transfer Window 17/18
Everyone’s desired West Ham update:
Sakho wanted £100k a week to join Palace
Brighton want James Collins, he doesn’t want to go
Chelsea have been in contact over Carroll. Could actually be close to £30m, could involve a swap.
Definitely working on Shelvey

Manchester United are ready to rival Manchester City’s attempt to sign Jean Michaël Seri from Nice, with José Mourinho keen to go head to head with Pep Guardiola once again to sign the Ivory Coast midfielder at the end of the season.
Mourinho’s saved them millions in scouting. Just get one insider to tell you who City want and then try outbid them

Bayern Munich have signed a pre contract with Leon Goretzka. Liverpool where hoping to sign the young German, but whom in their right mind would select Merseyside over Munich?

On paper it's a big win for Utd but Arsenal are still getting a player that was fantastic at Dortmund and if you end up getting Aubameyang as well then that partnership is reunited.

You screwed yourself by leaving it too late to try for Lemar in the summer
35m for Mkhitaryan isn't a bad deal in the current climate. Chances are he's a better player than he's shown at OT. He and Mourinho never meshed

Also a 35m player is objectively a net win over 6 months of Sanchez going through the motions then leaving for nothing.

One in, one out is better than Sanchez strolling to United in the summer. But yes Wenger should've sorted a deal for Lemar as soon as Pep made a concrete for Sanchez in the summer.GSC wrote:You screwed yourself by leaving it too late to try for Lemar in the summer

I think we could've got more from this deal perhaps Blind as well. But it works for the time being.
Wenger seems confident that Wilshere and Ozil will be signing new deals so alls not lost.

Re: Winter Transfer Window 17/18
Been mulling this over.
Think it suits both clubs.
Arsenal get mkhitaryan (though they have about 5 players like him) for nothing essentially.
United get Sanchez for nothing (essentially) and stop him going to city on a free. Shift mkhitaryans wages so Sanchez mammoth ones are a bit more palatable.
Both players seem happy.
