How do people feel the Fifa thing is going now we're well into it?
Despite my lowly league position, I'm loving it - and I do think I've found the tactics for me that work...

Really enjoying it, I've been using the same tactics for a while now but think I'm ready to switch it up if lawyers go my way ...

Really enjoying it. Wondering if I'm putting to much thought into how I think the other team will play. Did it with Miky this week, only for him to change formation and tactics completely from previous weeks.
How much do you winning people think about the other team and how much is just focusing on your own tactics, for your own players?

Will be interesting to see what EA are doing with the tactics for FIFA 19, meant to be upgrading them so when it goes live I'll try and get my head round them.
Perth 1-1 Wellington
Balotelli - Aspas
Sydney 1-0 WSW
Perisic
Melbourne City 1-0 Newcastle
Lingard

I personally prefer to just go with the tactics that work for my side, rather than flex around the opponent - although with my league position maybe I should try!

What I'm liking with the league is like real life an upset can happen, and that players that get poo-pooed somewhat for not being fashionable or hipster (for which I myself am guilty of) can play without them being an immediate loss for the manager such as Lingard.

I like the Fifa thing, however i'd rather build a team that i like than players who are just highly rated. I get that it would be difficult to do but if that ever happened id be up for that.
Also with Fifa i feel like there is an element of scripting to it in some ways, especially when the computer are involved in our games (i dont just mean with losses either) the game already knows the result but some things are quite obvious when they happen.

In any traditional v2 league though it's not about what you like but what other people like, unless you're a master of spin

You're right but i'm just saying that this league is good and im all for it but in all honesty, every league we create is bound to have his flaws.

And the highly rated thing isn't the be all and end all clearly being that Twists team is top when rating wise it's probably the lowest.

I do think I have made a couple of shrewd signings though. Lukaku and Balde have been very good for me.
I also kept players that were performing well like Willian and Torriera when I could have laywered and "upgraded".
Lingard was more luck as a transfer but he has traits I look for in my players.

Does anyone want Guedes before I release him? His tm value is 36m and his release value is 27m. I'll accept 28m.

Only if it was deliberate, which is obviously wasn't.
Walker put his arms out to shield the ball, carelessly, and a Tunisian ran into his elbow.

Surprised no one else wants him. Even if you buy him now off me for 28m you could get a lawyer for him next week worth 39.6m. Easiest profit ever!

Will keep Guedes for now. Skriniar is available for 21m if anyone wants him. His tm value is 27m and release price is 20.25m.

Also seeing as we are going to do a mini season as a stop gap until fifa 19, will the tm values stay the same for the players already in the league or will we get another value cutoff?
