Very hard to see City and Liverpool not being top 2. Feels likely it will then be Spurs, Chelsea and United fighting for the two other Champions League spots with Arsenal probably battling the likes of Everton for 6th.

Agree with that...Liverpool and city strongest squads...Spurs will struggle IMO, United and Chelsea both will slip away, and think Arsenal will have a rough year re-building after Wenger

Weirdly positive about Arsenal. I kinda feel like I’ve seen them meekly surrender and get battered in positions like that in recent years

Thought City were in second gear yesterday. Element of complacency set in too, which would of irked, Pep. Without De Bruyne, Silva, Otamendi & Sane, you can see why Arsenal were able to escape from being on the end of an absolute drubbing.

Going to take time for Emery and Arsenal to erode all the Wenger practices. City, Liverpool, United and Spurs have all had multiple years under their current managers and Chelsea exist in a way where the manager isn't really all that crucial. Patience is key really.

I'd still say City 1 and United 2 at the moment though. Think Liverpool are a little too hyped at the moment for a team that usually have a dip in form at some stage. 2 from 3 between Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs should be good though

Spurs have paid the FA to use Wembley until the New Year

Stadium costing 400m over budget so far allegedly close to breaking through the £1bn barrier instead of the £400m budgeted

To ne honest i am finding it very difficult to predict how man Utd will do this year. I would have predicted not so well given all the pre-season problems. But they looked good in their first game. I think there is a good chance they will lose Pogba though in the next week. That would be a huge blow for them.

United should still be hard to beat under Mourinho which should keep them in the mix for me. Liverpool will batter some teams but equally think they're vulnerable to off days

Impossible to say what that Liverpool performance meant because we didn’t test them and they do that to us every time.

For all his effort and endeavour, Milner is still sloppy in the middle of the park with the ball, but Keita looked perfect for them and Henderson will take Milner’s place. On top of that, Fabinho would expect to be a holder in that system so Hendo and Wij will be competing.

Think they could upgrade next with another centre back.

Of all the things to do in your spare time, Bobby Madley has done...that.

Anyway, he's quit as a football referee.

On the West Ham Bournemouth game, if I had done Bournemouth to win 2-1 instead of 3-2, I would have got all 30 points on super 6.

Brighton 3 Manchester United 2 FT

I'm not surprised. United are now at that level when I never know what to expect from them. Teams like Brighton raise their level when United come to town. United don't seem to have another level.

Mourinho needs to watch his back. Boring football plus bad results and constant negativity = the sack.

Not sure about Zidane. Let's be honest, he took over one of the top two teams in Europe, he has never had to do any sort of rebuilding.

Zizou fits everything Man United want. A name, a galactico, winning experience, an aura.

I think he'd be worth it, anyway. He'd surely bring out the best in Pogba and any big names,

Michael Oliver awarded Liverpool a dreadfully soft penalty on the stroke of half time. Salah was basically looking for a penalty. Milner scored it. Joke decision and joke penalty taker

Agree with Shearer about Aguero being the best ever PL import?

146 PL goals. Contract ends in June, 2020. I’d imagine he will surpass Ferdinand, Owen, Defoe, and Fowler on the list. Not sure he reaches Henry’s tally of 175, or Lampard in third place with a tally of 177.

id go with henry still, more capable of winning a game on his own than aguero who is more of a service striker. silva certainly claim to be the best technical, for two long his lack of ability to even try the shot or score goals hurt him i feel. likewise his assists should really be top 3 for a player of his ability in that team where he's just scraping top 10 around the likes of milner, cole, teddy and anderton

Yeah, Henry is hard to top. I think the Cantona stuff gets over-egged a bit, whilst we were also lucky to be blessed with Ronaldo. Silva is still the best footballer I've ever watched live, he's never had a bad game against us. Not sure he's ever had a bad game, a bit better and (sacrilege to say out loud, to some) technically skilled than even Bergkamp and/or Zola.

It’s Arsenal, they could easily decide to play Xhaka in midfield alone and concede something ridiculous like 1 goal against us.

Until Arnie went off, we were the better side. Even had chances at 2-1. Too many forward for the third, deserved at least a point, really harsh day. But much better than first two weeks

Wholesale changes by Mourinho for the Spurs match. Bailly, Mata and Martial axed from the match day squad all together. Sanchez still only on the bench.

Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Matic, Herrera and Lingard all get a game. Herrera at CB

But United are an embarrassment. They imploding all over the place.
