There's revenge. That has to be the highest ever combined rating for 3 injuries

Just submitted my tactics - think I've got it covered off tbh, and also gives me a chance to try a couple of things I have been wondering about.

I'm the same really, Hysaj, Di Maria and Nzonzi are all decent enough players to bring in.

What I'd like to do in the next week is trial a few games on Fifa 19. I thought I'd input in a small number of teams from the current league so if you'd be up for sending me tactics for that let me know, I'll have to provide details on the differences for you.

Cheers Afro/Twist

What I'll do initially is add in your teams (and mine) and then add in as best I can your current tactics and let you know what's missing and what you can tweak.

well played Olly Ok!

Had wanted to win and get it all sorted this week so that I could have a bit of an experiment next week!

But good that it comes down to the final week

Think we are on:
Olly 18 pts, +6
Afro 17, +5
Hero 16, +7

Olly v Nando
Me v Marky
Hero v Twist

If possible, we should try and play those games in reverse order I reckon.

Game on! Ok!

Thoroughly deserved win for you Olly and 3-1 wouldn’t have been unjust. We just didn’t play well.

Having watched it again, I have decided I am still going to try out the new formation this week anyway. Can’t stick with that and find they play that way again!

Have updated the results and table with the one game to play this week, just to show the position going into the final week. Will update once the WSW v Wellington game is played.

Also have updated the Top Scorers list, with the race for the Golden Boot hotting up. 4 players on 5 goals!

Just a note in regards to Brisbane v Sydney game, realize that Immobile came on as a sub in last few mins and should have been an injury.
I'd say as he wasn't involved in the build up to Brisbane's equaliser that the result should stand unless both parties wish to replay it?

Be a shame to expunge that game from the records. At the moment it would be my vote for game of the season, and goal of the season (Aguero's).

But ultimately up to Nando.

I'm thinking the Japanese league could be a good one to work from as long as no-one picks Vissel Kobe as their starting team, whilst Iniesta may not have been good in this league I suspect he'd do okay in a league where most players are low to mid 60s.

Isn't that just too low of a starting point though? Might be fun to do a pure tactics kind of league I guess

I think the low base would be great for the reason you mention. Those players are going to have clear strengths and clear weaknesses. You are definitely going to have to tailor your tactics to your players initially.

You can come up with how you want to play, but you are really going to have to focus your spending on players with abilities to meet that style.

Or find you can't play your style and adjust - I mean, I'm sure loads of Conference managers want to play like Barcelona, but don't have the players to do it.

Completly agree. If it was old style tactics I would agree with Bam. But because, on the face of it, you have fewer tactical options it makes sense to start from a point where bringing in the right players is paramount.

Did we decide on a value and ability cap though?

Agreed.

Step 1 - pick a league and teams from that league;
Step 2 - work out a broad average value for those teams;
Step 3 - pick the cap based on that average;
Step 4 - work out a broad average TM value for a sample of players in the teams;
Step 5 - agree budgets and weekly bonuses based on those values

I didn't check what settings I had prior on Fifa18 and ramped up a couple which I think is why there was a glut of goals. I'll make a note of the current settings and see what happens with that.

That injury reminded me of something about last night, Marchisio isn't in Fifa19 which was why I had to play Khedira in your midfield.
