The introduction of FIFA has really made a difference imo
I think if we had stuck with an old fashioned voting league, we wouldn't have made it through season 2

Would be good to keep at least a full house for the new season and if possible entice others in, reckon a few that got bored of the management system over the years could enjoy it if they gave it a go.
Also on another note, does anyone else that has FIFA 19 fancy typing up all the tactic options that are now available for players/teams?

Yeah, would be good to get others in
Is Miky interested in returning? I can't imagine Trebs will come back but if we get Miky + 1 more that would be a good number assuming everyone in the league at the moment returns

The rugby game died a death on here, don't think many of them are into rounder balls
Personally I blame the new league runner, who took over after a few very successful years. His name may or may not rhyme with Buxy ......

I have Fifa 19, and I'm home alone from Friday for a week, so quite likely I could do this over the weekend if nobody else can do it earlier.

Could have been more creative and said suxy...
CJB possibly was into football, but don't really speak to the other guys anymore.
Miss the old rugby league, but had the same issue I imagine with this league before FIFA - everyone has their own opinion, yet can be swayed by others etc.
Anyway, the downfall was more down to Chris/Matt/Wisden/Cotswoldwolf/CF...

Regarding the FIFA 19 reboot, is there no chance of doing a draft, or having the option to shape our squad a lot before GW1?

Re: Challenge League Homepage VII
I think the draft is a no-go because of the set-up work that will fall on Hero. It is something that only he can do as he is running the games.
We could have the option of shaping our squads a bit more, but for me personally I'd prefer not too. I think getting an existing squad, needing to work with what you inherit and then developing over time is a good thing. Its a bit more realistic too as it is what any new managers has to do in real life.

Re: Challenge League Homepage VII
On the choice of league, I was thinking about that a bit more.
Whilst I like the choice of starting as low as possible, I do wonder about keeping the initial interest. Somewhere like the Japanese league might be hard to relate to as most will not have heard of the majority of places or players.
Might be better to go for somewhere a bit more relatable?

I was having similar thoughts Afro
By way of a compromise for those who want a draft, what if each manager was allowed to make a couple of draft picks after we have selected teams?
This could be either a completely free draft, or from a selected pool of players, both in line with the TM/rating caps we go for. Could be run either as a snake draft or give each manager a "draft budget" and we could hold an auction, still limiting it to a max of say 2/3 new players each

I'd go lower than that.
League 2 looks a good shout. Places and teams people know, low starting point.

Re: Challenge League Homepage VII
How about a half way house regarding a draft?
Allow a handful of players to be drafted into the league before it kicks off, then it gives managers a bit more of their stamp on their team but it's not a total overhaul for me?
Was thinking perhaps 5 players per team?
Happy to go with one of the lower leagues England wise, if we do though can we do it alphabetically within the given league, reason being is with the Aussie league it makes it dead quick to move between the clubs with there being only 10 teams, choosing one with 24 teams and they're all over the place would make it a bit more of a faff, know it's only a small amount of time but when you're having to swap every trade about each week, add in the tactics for every team and then stream the games those little seconds do add up!

Maybe one player at each position group - so one GK, one defender, one midfielder, one striker - would work for the little mini draft and get people rolling in terms of turning over their team, but not really overhauling it early?
Also happy to do English League two or League one - and whatever teams make it easiest for you.

Bottom 10 looks good for the closeness of overall ratings, but top 10 is closer on TM values.
Either is fine with me and happy with any team from either list

5 felt too many, but Olly's suggestion seems fair.
I assume it is with a cap of some form for FIFA rating?

I will set-up a separate page for people to sign up on so we can see numbers. Can someone try and drum up interest on other 606 pages and on Ja606
