I did
Hadn't seen the score prior to watching the game and thought the Twitch screenshot read 1-0 after 70 odd mins so was expecting a drab game, certainly didn't expect that result!

Haven't watched it through, only picked up the end result and stats to see that there were no yellow cards.

The first three attacks were goals, my team didn’t make a tackle until it was 3-0.

Defensive Style: Balanced / Pressure on Heavy Touch / Press After Possession Loss / Constant Pressure / Drop Back
Width - 1-10
Depth - 1-10
Adjust these a bit until you find a defensive style that fits.

I think it was the third goal Dolph, where this great chasm opened in your defence like the Grand Canyon. Never seen anything like it!
Definitely regretting not going for Turpitz originally though, what a hat-trick!

I didn’t know how much to change that stuff seeing it would’ve been the same in the 2-1 win for me before the 6-1 rematch

You’re a sweet soul, but it’s sadly not for having missed them!
However, as I’m changing it completely, I can tell you what I’d done:
Defensive Style: Pressure after heavy touch
Width 4
Depth 4
Everything is changing next week, just gonna go bananas for the craic

From what I've seen, you've come up against two of the favourites for season 1 in your first two games, so I wouldn't worry too much

40 is old, but this guy is the oldest player in Fifa 19 at 45 (and agonisingly close to being eligible in S1 too, rated 71)

Re: FIFA Challenge League Homepage I
We didn't sort season bonuses/targets. Trying to think of something that keeps people playing until the end, but doesn't widen the gap if the higher value teams finish higher up.
Only thing I could think of was a two stage system, where the higher you finish the more you get, but then teams are grouped according to starting value i.e. you get more for winning the league if you are Macclesfield or Crewe, then you do if you are MK Dons or Lincoln. But also rewards Macc or Crewe more for finishing, say 10th than MK Dons for finishing 5th, just as an example
Would involve setting an expected finish for everyone (based on starting FIFA ratings and/or TM value) and then you are bonused based on performance to expectation.
Any ideas? We should set something sooner rather than later

He wasn't on Bam's sheet when I searched that - I thought i'd found a great freebie with Perez the young CB from Argentina and was devastated to find Forest Green had nabbed him

Marky had the best idea IMO, top three get 'automatic promotion', with the next four getting playoffs and the bottom two getting 'relegated'.
Some sort of promotion bonus and relegation swap to a different League Two team would be the way I'd go.
Other option is like you say, put all the teams in 1-16 by initial rating and have a ±x positions at the end of the season.
But my opinion is the former, or something like that rather than the latter.

Personally having a notional promotion/playoff/relegated finish does nothing to encourage me to keep pushing. There are no promotions/playoffs so it doesn't mean anything. I'm also against swapping for a different League 2 team when other teams will have been improving for 32 weeks. Will just widen the gap at the bottom.
But if I thought that each position I finished higher would give me an extra financial boost towards the next season, I'd try and finish as high as possible.

Yeah would like to hear from others too. If only someone put it as a press conference question
If a team got relegated I'd give them a new League Two team with a massive budget and first dibs on transfers (say 5 or something) at whatever the new limit is. And the promoted sides also get some sort of financial reward that would work IMO.
In any case, there has to be something put in place.

I think this is a great idea!
There should definitely be a financial reward for finishing higher up the table, although that should be in line with 'realistic expectations' depending on your starting squad value/rating.
Will also ensure that everyone remains competitive until the end as jumping a couple of places up the table on the final day of the season could in theory have a great financial impact on your budget for season 2!

The problem with this idea is you're almost giving people an incentive to get relegated.... with a massive financial budget and first dibs on transfers you'd essentially be better off being relegated than finishing mid table.
Also think its an overreaction after only one season, some people are buying high rated older players for instant success whereas others are going for lower rated youngsters with huge potential. Once the ratings are updated in season two there's a high chance the strength of the squads will alter substantially depending on what strategy you employed in season one.
With new funds and an increased ratings cap everyone will have the opportunity to transform their sides anyway.

Re: FIFA Challenge League Homepage I
Also if we did do something along these lines, it would be good to be able to make it so it adjusts according to average player value, given we don't know what the position squads will be in.
You might get prize money of £1m. If average player value is £200k, that's more of an incentive than if the average player value is £2m

Totally agree with this idea - think it caveats the thing I hate which is the best teams getting most money, and lower teams getting least (which is pointless, as then the best get better and worst get worse - see Premier League...).
Don't like the promotion/playoff/relegation thing cos it's meaningless imo - and dislike the idea of people being forced to switch to a different team after they've just put a whole season into designing a new squad (this is before even giving Hero more teams to switch around on Fifa etc)
