Please add your score predictions for this weekend's three games onto the end of this thread.
The rules are as follows:-
- Spoiler:
- 1) Each week you will be asked to predict the scores from that weekend's games. All predictions must be made before the start of the games.
2) You will be get points depending on how close you are to the actual score. Points will be awarded in the following way:-
- You will get 20 points for getting the correct match outcome.
- You will get 10 points for getting a teams score correct.
- You will lose one of those 10 points for every point you are away from a teams score. Therefore you must be with 10 points of a teams score to gain points.
- If you get a match score spot on you will be awarded with double points. So if the correctly predict a match's score you will receive a maximum 80 points.
Example:-
Your prediction - Ireland 17-31 Wales
Actual result - Ireland 25-31 Wales
Your score 32 points
You would receive 20 points for correctly predicting Wales to win. As you were 8 points off Ireland's score you get 2 points for that and another 10 points for getting Wales' score spot on.
This week's of fixtures are:-
SATURDAY 16TH MARCH
Italy v France
Wales v Ireland
England v Scotland

Its wishful thinking. All fans do it.
Its in murrayfield so Scotland do have a chance. They are usually good at home.
A few wales fans are predicting a france win for example

There seems to be a lot of people predicting a win for Scotland over Wales, what is it based on? In last year's 6N we were told Scotland were going to win based on form alone. What is it this time around? #JustCurious

Mikey, maybe it’s based on the last time Scotland played Wales at home in the 6 Nations? #justrecentdata

Scotland at home are decent too. Surely you can admit they have a chance albeit with injuries maybe not a great one.

Any side (bar Italy) could be justified as being favourites at home in the 6 Nations.

Re: Six Nations Competition - Week 5
Cyril, how recent are we doing then? Wales losing to Scotland; Wales being coached by Howley; Wales finishing below 3rd in the 6N - all are recent anomalies that happened to take place in the same year. Since then we've played them twice and beat them twice (both in Cardiff).
Guns, if they're this good at home how did they lose to a lacklustre Ireland? If home advantage is this good for teams in the 6N then I don't get why so many of you predicted Scotland to beat Wales in the 6N last year. None of it makes sense so we can assume it's the old 'anyone but Wales attitude again'. Still unbeaten .

Re: Six Nations Competition - Week 5
They lost to a lacklustre Ireland coz Ireland are that good. No other side in the world ...honestly... can look so bad and still win against supposed flash competition. But don't you fret mikey. I don't think our lacklustredness will be enough to steal the Slam from you. We'll have to improve a lot between now and then to prevent Wales scraping past us by five.
Buy the tee shirt. I hear some versions are already in print.

Wales looked a bit gash in their first two games and won both... Now it's convenient to say Ireland whilst playing gash or lacklustre are still good, but Wales' opposition (plus refs) keep gifting them games? Oh I see.

Re: Six Nations Competition - Week 5
You obviously don't read me, mikey...ahem, another one.....; anyway, you obviously always mistake me for someone else in green, coz I'm always warning non-believers about how good Wales are and ''tis I who was talking Wales up before, during and after the English game...unlike a few of your countrymen here.
Ref talk is always a bit of fun and bluster but I know a good side when I see it and I'm not coy in admitting it.

They arent that good but they were good enough to give Ireland a very good game. They arguably dominated the breakdown and collisions v Ireland.

This is a predictions thread. Seems odd to take offence if posters predict results that you think are not going to happen. Just bathe in the glory of finishing above them in the competition. If that comes to pass.

Not really, just seems the predictions are baseless; and we know how angry you all get when someone predicts a Wales win over NZ. I'm comfortable with the form Wales are in, but I'll also take comfort in the fact the English keep getting their predictions wrong .

Seems pointless making predictions about teams outside the top 3 elite I agree.

Where did I call anyone silly?
I just want Englishmen to remember that if Scots beat Wales they will of course beat England who are a lesser obstacle and who rouse the same, if not greater, passion to beat them than the Welsh.

Re: Six Nations Competition - Week 5
Scotland at home are a bigger challenge for Wales than their last two meetings which were at the Principality. It is perfectly feasible for Scotland with home advantage to beat Wales but lose away to England - especially as Wales and England are of a very similar standard.
PS apologies to Sportform, trying to filter out the predictions from the recriminations will be tough.

I would say the odds on Wales losing to Scotland in Murrayfield should be better than England losing to Scotland in Twickers.

Accuracy has been the biggest issue. In the Wales fixture 2 years ago Seymour and Visser finished two excellent try’s off with Hogg providing slick hands for Vissers. Against Ireland they blitzed the Irish defence out wide. This year that same accuracy has been lacking when opportunities have come. I’ll wait for the team sheet but tend to agree with Mikey that Wales are clear favourites for this one. It’ll be against the grain if Scotland win this weekend on their curent form.

Yeah it's pretty clear-cut, now that England have been bumped back out of the Top 3 Elite in World Rugby.

Another good weekend of English predictions, well done lads.
Mods, why are you removing this post and not Yoda's? Why are the English still allowed to ruin Wales threads on match days? WTF is going on the moderation here.
