SURREY VS KENT ROYAL LONDON CUP
Surrey have named a 12 man squad to face Kent in the Royal London One-Day Cup at the Kia Oval on Thursday.
With 13 of the professional group unavailable through injuries, IPL participation and international camps; the 12 in the squad are those that remain.
Ben Foakes has joined up with England so Jamie Smith will keep for this game.
FULL SQUAD
Rory Burns (c)
Gareth Batty
Jordan Clark
Dean Elgar
Will Jacks
Conor McKerr
Stuart Meaker
Morne Morkel
Ryan Patel
Jamie Smith
Mark Stoneman
Freddie van den Bergh
Might as well rest Morkel again for this possible wooden spoon decider

A sad state! Does that mean Harinath is no longer on the professional staff or is he injured too?

seems he is only at the club to captain the 2nd XI now james, though the club are saying he is among the 13 unavailable for this game.James100 wrote:A sad state! Does that mean Harinath is no longer on the professional staff or is he injured too?

Re: SURREY VS KENT ROYAL LONDON CUP
Burns, Rocky and Elgar as openers, Roy wanting to bat up the order, combined with Jacks and Patel pressing on was always going to limit the Barons chances this season.
He's a mainstay of the club and the sort of player who could gradually transition from player, to player-coach and eventually coaching if he so chooses.
With only 7 List A appearances in his career this is unlikely to be the format for Arun to lead the cavalry charging through as reinforcements!

Hi Carlos - good post. Some things might happen sooner.

I had not realised Bell-Drummond bowls till I just looked at the scorecard. Mind you he had only bowled 17 balls in List A cricket before today.
Edit:
And now Renshaw gets his first List A wicket.

I hope you play like that in the game at Taunton. After winning the first 4 games, qualifying from the group is starting to look like it will be a squeaky bum time

His first ever List A wicket with that delivery, no wonder he was laughing.
