The Azzrentice 2019 - Task 5 - Protecting Our Children From Overseas Predators
Trebs and Bam Bam, congratulations on making it to the final of The Azzrentice 2019. You have seen off competition from some of the world's greatest fake online managerial candidates - and Nadz - to make it to the final task of this year's competition.
The task is very simple.
After years of seeing Michael Mancienne as the only young British player to play overseas, we are now seeing a significant number of young British players departing for foreign shores. At a time when young people in this country are crying out for sporting heroes and role models, an ever-increasing number of young British stars are taking their services to the Bundesliga, La Liga and Eredivisie. Whether it's Jadon Sancho signing for Borussia Dortmund for £8m, Reiss Nelson offing for Hoffenheim, Jonathan Panzo leaving Chelsea for Monaco, or Louie Barry leaving the team he supports and whom he has played for for the last ten years of his life, for some small team called Barcelona, there is a growing exodus of British talent.
We need to stop this. We need the best young, British talent not just staying within the country, but playing first-team football.
What I want from you is a blueprint on how to tackle this increasingly worrisome epidemic. How can we stop these young stars moving abroad? How can we give them the opportunities their talents deserve? How can the national team age groups help with this? Or is this good for the future of the national team, and you believe we should encourage this rather than attempt to stop it?
Give me examples. Give me reasoning. Give me ideas, give me plans. Tell me how we can fix this issue and see the cream of young British talent thrive, rather than shrivel on the bench as Leroy Sane and Bernardo Silva take all the playing time.
You have until 1159 on Wednesday 24 July to submit your efforts - and one of you will be crowned my Azzrentice.
Now, if any of the former competitors would like to assist you in this task, please let them step forward. I know Nando has graciously offered to assist one of you, but I would like to see some of the other competitors come out in support of these two worthy finalists. We should all be in this together, saving the future of the British game.

I'm happy to have a gentleman's agreement with Bam that we both go it alone if that makes it easier?
Also - I will be away for the day on the 24th. I can get my submission in the day before, but I won't be able to do any boardroom etc. so please can we do that part on the 25th?

I don't think I'm going to have any time to do this, I've been between jobs and have just started something new so am either going to have to withdraw or hold off for a while
Sorry guys

Makes no difference to me Nando, I'm not taking part. But I'd say Boris Johnson becoming PM tomorrow is karma for your shocking performance in the last task.

Re: The Azzrentice 2019 - Task 5 - Protecting Our Children From Overseas Predators
Hello guys, thought I would pop on to see who won?
I'm not available to help i am afraid. Only thought I would have is what is the problem with British players playing abroad and learning from different surroundings and culture? I think that would aid the national team. Lucky I am not taking part I suppose!
Good luck to Bam and Trebs, with early congratulations to the winner.

FYI I'm away until 5 August now - so we could say 11:59 on Tuesday 6th as the new deadline?

Bam has pulled out Nando, not sure what the issue is. Two finalists, one has submitted his effort, the other has already blown past one deadline and won't make the second one...
Your Azzrentice Champion for 2019 is Trebs
We all look forward to this autumn's Trebrentice to keep us going

Thanks Azzy, shame to win in this way but I thought I did pretty well in the earlier tasks. Hope everything is alright Bam, you were certainly the next best throughout!

Trebs, please post your submission so that everyone can see your plans. While you're at it, you really must capitalise the 't' in 'Trebrentice', seeing as it's a name and all

Afraid my submission is on the work computer - and so it'll be Monday before I can post.
Sorry
