SURREY VS SOMERSET T20 VITALITY BLAST
Surrey have named a squad of 14 for Friday’s Vitality Blast match with Somerset at Taunton including England man Sam Curran and fit-again Jamie Smith.
Captain Jade Dernbach is out with the back issue that flared up during last Friday’s match against Sussex. Liam Plunkett sat out that match at Hove with a thumb injury has been unavailable for selection since.
Gus Atkinson (back), Matt Dunn (hip) and Stuart Meaker (elbow) are also injured. Conor McKerr is working back to fitness, having played for the 2nd XI on Thursday. Rory Burns and Jason Roy are involved in the first Ashes Test at Edgbaston and Morne Morkel continues to be rested.
Amir Virdi and Freddie Van Den Bergh drop out from the squad named against Kent.
FULL SQUAD
Aaron Finch (c)
Gareth Batty
Scott Borthwick
Jordan Clark
Rikki Clarke
Sam Curran
Tom Curran
Ben Foakes
Will Jacks
Ryan Patel
Ollie Pope
Jamie Smith
Mark Stoneman
Imran Tahir
Right lets go for Borthwick, Patel and Stoneman to share drink duties.
Over to you chaps

Re: SURREY VS SOMERSET T20 VITALITY BLAST
Hi JimBob - Clarke's t20 stats with bat and ball are terrible this season. I would leave him out and give Patel a go. Agree with you about Borthwick and Stoneman missing out. That said, only seems like shuffling deckchairs etc.
No place for Freddie in the squad as you say. I suspect the Burger Van is sold out.

Well called on the team, JimBob.
Jacks already back in the hutch - 12/1 off 2 overs.
You been going to the home games, JimBob? All pretty disappointing, eh?

203/4 from our 20. Competitive at least although never underestimate our ability to blow it.
