Halfpenny’s looking a bit beefy! Too much weights! Looks like a flanker.

Good on Dan Biggar - just told the ref he didn’t score! Good sportsmanship.

Nice try and bonus points for almost taking a dodgy French referee out of the RWC

Nice try by Wales. How Biggar did not score is beyond me.

Never seen Dee do that for Wales yet. Constantly does that release on the floor for Dragons

Re: Wales and Ireland Two warm up test series Match Thread
Wales should be disapointed only being 3 points in front at half time.
Ireland look tired. out of sorts. Sexton not having a good game does nothing to help their situation either.

If it's not to be it won't be. If he doesn't make it, he won't make it. WC still gotta be played and will be.

You're right they look out of sorts but apart from the Biggar intercept period, where are in-form Wales looking dominant enough to be well ahead?
Ireland are doing okay for a team only learning how to play the game again

Re: Wales and Ireland Two warm up test series Match Thread
Patchell HIA, not good, as he could be out for a few weeks. Biggar is usually awesome in defence but he has been rather poor during this series. JD2 hasn't been a great defender today. I think I was recently suggesting that Kearney looks past it? I was wrong about that. He is definitely the guy you want fielding the ball against teams like Wales.

Odd comment. Ireland look better in attack, for me. Wales better in the set piece perhaps.
Close game so far.

Think Madge is listening to the possession stat really? That’s my best guess.

Ireland have won a few 1v1s, but as I alluded to Biggar and JD2 are missing tackles.

Looks fairly even in my view everywhere except lineout. 10-7 about right

Re: Wales and Ireland Two warm up test series Match Thread
IF (and obviously I hope not) Patchell is out, Evans has to start against Georgia in case he has to start against a bigger team.
Tomos Williams looking like first choice 9 for me. Box kicks not as rushed as Gareth Davies and Aled Davies is Aled Davies.

Wales lucky not to get carded in that sequence, lots of infringements.

Ireland were holding on multiple phases ago anyway. Let’s sub Raynal for Barnes.

WTF.. complete cr@p ref decision. Ref call held up, goes to TMO as convinced by Barnes. TMO says inconclusive so on field call and ref changes his mind and awards it.... how the hell does that work.

Dodgy French referee living up to their reputation. It’s like a game of roulette with these jokers.

Can you ask for the TMO, the TMO says inconclusive, but you award the try anyway?
That's a new one to me.

Ireland cheating at the scrum again. Just need their French mate to give it to them now.

Re: Wales and Ireland Two warm up test series Match Thread
It’s because the ref asked ‘any reason NOT to award it’. And the TMO couldn’t see a reason. So try.

Finally got a scrum penalty. Didn’t care about the binding on the arm, but pinged him in the end.

Disagree about obvious. Hence needing the TMO to review it. The Hadleigh Parkes try was obvious.

Perfect lineout ball off the back and we still mess it up. Hopeless.

Other way around. Hence the penalty to Wales. It was obvious!

Ireland were cheating all last week at the scrum Guns. You’re always so one-eyed in this fixture. If Wayne Barnes was the man in the middle you’d be having a field day.

Question was any reason I cannot award the try. Think it was Barnes who saw the grounding on the pitch. TMO says nothing conclusive to overrule the on field decision.
