I have him as left wing. Though is hard left not the same as far left because I dont have him as far left. I get tge views based on your own spectrum though. Which is why I hare labour supporters calling Starmer and others right wing.  Left of centre is not right wing.

I would say that hard left is within the standard left wing myself, thinking of someone like Tony Benn being hard left as opposed to Ed Milliband who was soft left, will say however that is possibly closer to far left than it is the centre.

Defamation is a particuarly tricky legal area and a lot comes down to context. Where Fox might have some difficulty is that because of the way he's used the language, he's directly accused the guy of something. The language used by the other guy "what a racist" amounts more to name calling and it might be possible to argue that he was expressing an opinion (particularly in the context of Fox's original actions).

Either way, its probably too expensive for either of them to find out the answer.

Not really paid it much attention. But Fox is such a massive cnut I wouldn't be surprised if he said something racist.

I'm fully aware who he is. I generally switch off when he starts coming out with his nonsense and issues with black people. Soubds like you could join his new party.

I've seen enough to make the opinion he is a cunnnt

Boycotting a supermarket for supporting black history month is, at best, questionable.

That's not what he tweeted at all and not why he boycotted Sainsburys. Why don't you actually go and look at what he tweeted instead of what Sainsburys replied with. Fox said nothing about Black History Month.
He was referring to the divisive and segregation of Sainsburys white board deciding they needed to give their black employees a safe space, despite not being asked to.
Do some bloody research, it's never been easier.

By the way, I think boycotting a supermarket for this is stupid anyway.

This is literally a response to Sainsbury's talking about bhm saying he will boycott them. Questionable.

If you read that tweet and statement and think I'm Boycotting you, then you or anyobe that does are questionable.

Again, it doesn't say Fox is boycotting Sainsburys for anything to do with BHM, it was to do with introducing safe spaces. That's twice I've told you now.

So, he is boycotting due to having issues with black people and how they are treated by Sainsbury's?

No he is boycotting Sainsburys for promoting segregation of black  people from non black people by them deciding that black people require safe spaces on the whim of their white board when no call for such a space was even required or demanded.

Do you ths sound racist of Fox to you?
I think it's very petty of Fox, but it's certainly not racist. He might be a plummy toff, but that's not racist.

I didnt call him racist. But, boycotting a supermarket because how they treat black people, is well, ridiculous. And opens you up to comments.

I literally have no issues with anything Sainsbury's posted that he responded to saying he was boycotting them.

Fox made no mention and no complaint on their stance on BHM,

The screenshot of the tweet is misleading though on Fox's part, rather than show that part it would be better if he was showing the part to which he objected.

I'm still recovering from yesterday's game due to the overuse of "lefty" to describe 99.9% of the World's population.  It was like Jim Davidson with Tourette's.

Except it's not really libertarian, is it? The attitude of those that espouse it is essentially "I'll do what I like, but you can't do anything you like if it effects me in ways I don't like." It's the World view of a child or a narcissist. Fine; **** off, live on an island on your own and the rest of us will get on with being adults.

It is bonkers but it’s real life America these days. Trump has dragged a significant proportion of the American consciousness into the sewer. Yes there were rampant crazy right wing Christian zealots before Trump came along but in 4 years it’s astonishing how much worse and more intolerant he’s made things.

Interesting article from nature medicine.

https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-020-1112-0

I obviously recommend reading it but the first paragraph from the discussion gives a flavour of what was found.

Kontis et al (2020) wrote:With our consistent and comparable analysis, we identified four groups of countries in terms of the overall death toll of the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The first group comprises countries that have avoided a detectable rise (with a posterior probability of at least 90%) in all-cause mortality and includes Bulgaria, New Zealand, Slovakia, Australia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The second and third groups of countries experienced a low-to-medium effect of the pandemic on overall deaths and include Austria, Switzerland and Portugal (low effect) and France, the Netherlands and Sweden (medium effect). The fourth group of countries, which experienced the highest mortality toll, consists of Belgium, Italy, Scotland, Spain and England and Wales.

Super

As a super rational type I am always shocked by how easy your sensibilities are harmed by hypocrisy.

How is it word salad? The likes of XR are hypocrites and have little understanding of their cause and an inconsistency to their argument. That's not even debatable, it's a fact.

Hypocrites!  Drink!!

So you don't dispute they are, well done.

Anyway, if we're playing a drinking game when anyone mentions a word or subject we'd have sunk the QE2 by now in alcohol in your constant (and boring) rambling about the right.

Sick burn bruv

The irony of a hypocritical paper doing an article on hypocrisy.

Citing The Guardian as a source of credible information or journalism is like citing Wikipedia or the Sun or Star.

Careful Beninho, I got a week ban for calling someone a plank.

Comment or not, The tax dodging Guardian does not represent good quality journalism. Who cares about their opinion?
