SURREY HAVE NAMED A 17-STRONG MATCHDAY SQUAD FOR THURSDAY’S VITALITY BLAST QUARTER-FINAL AGAINST KENT AT THE KIA OVAL ON THURSDAY.
After missing the end of the group stage through injury, both Gareth Batty and Hashim Amla return to the squad. Jordan Clark is also back in the squad having worked back from his foot & ankle injuries.
Jade Dernbach is still absent with a groin injury.

My six to miss out Atkinson, Borthwick, Burns, Clarke, Dunn, and Smith
Though it will probably be Clark amongst them which is a shame because he was one of our best players last year in this competition.

From the last game, I see you're replacing Dunn with Foakes! You could be right there.

I pretty much go along with you on the six missing out although I would guess that Rikki Clarke will play and edge out Jordan Clark.

Surrey leave out both Clarkes and play Burns. Otherwise the team is as JimBob and I guessed.

Just to add - the selection only allows us 6 bowlers. Probably means that JOve and the other least effective one will be a combo.

Popped out until now and feared the same but Amla laying into Klaesen upon my return in the 11th taking it to 99/0. Fine opportunity for us to push on further but not a done deal we'll manage it ....

Sy going to fall some way short of Olly’s sensible 180 target. Just a measly 4 runs from the 19th. Now 164/2 with 4 balls left.

Well short from that start, need to make sure we're still in after the usual 12 an over conceded powerplay

168-2 off 20 overs...feels 20-30 short of where we really should have got to, for me. 99-0 off 11 overs to 129-2 off 16 overs a very poor period of batting by Surrey, not a lot of intent shown and with wickets in the hutch(Overton not batting feels like we've missed some hitting), they really should have kept going even when Roy got out.

Game is in the balance, but Surrey really should have batted themselves into a dominant position there.

Sy finish at 168/2.
With only 2 wickets down, that's a strange and lower total than it should have been.
Kent have a better chance than they should have ....
