At least Wales are putting up a fight. I thought it was game over when Scotland went over for the non-try.

Turning point was not passing the ball to Cummings, it’s look as if it could go Wales’ way now, seeing as we only beat 14-man teams...

It's an active ruck. The player is moving. That's a harsh decision. He's trying to clear the man. You have to drive the player off the ruck and he's clearly wrapped his left arm, his right arm is down because he's trying to get his shoulder underneath Jones. We've got to work to remove contact with the head from the game as much as possible but that's a red card for someone trying to play the game.
Karl Dickson as TMO is never good he's barely capable as a ref.

Re: Scotland vs Wales (13th Feb, 4.45pm KO)
I actually think the 'mitigation' of the player being lifted up made that better for Fagerson. If he doesn't shift up then Fagerson just dives into the top of his head, because he was lifted up it's more of glancing blow and looks better. A fair red in my opinion. Straight on his feet, arm in no position to bind and contact with the head.

Harsh yes but all he had to do was not hit the head with his shoulder.

Re: Scotland vs Wales (13th Feb, 4.45pm KO)
I think most referees would have allowed the mitigating factor and given a yellow - as the TMO was angling for - but this referee was far stricter.
Probably game over unless Wales get a man in the bin in the next ten or so minutes.

Exactly. At least try to tuck an arm under the body or something to move him.

That was a clear red unfortunately. He was always going to hit the head, without any movement it was straight onto the head, with movement it still onto the head, silly all the way.

Re: Scotland vs Wales (13th Feb, 4.45pm KO)
I've never been in the AWJ being overrated camp. I think he's quality. But he's also absolutely blowing and that does lead to ill discipline. The ball has been in play a lot today and the Scotland second row have been more prominent. AWJ is coming off injury and limited game time. Tough game given that.mikey_dragon wrote:AWJ given a few penalties away today, none of which were penalties and he’s clearly being targeted...

In my opinion he milks his reputation as a captain to get away with what would see most players sin binned for accumulating penalties. Which is great if you can get away with it, he's very good at playing the ref. I think his physical abilities are starting to fade though he was top quality at his best so not overrated by the fans and coaches (unlike Farrell) but certainly overhyped by the media.

Never been much of a Hogg fanboy but he's showing what all the fuss is about this tournament. Playing himself into the Lions starting berth surely.
Ha apparently my streams a couple of minutes behind, goosed by LRZ on the next play after crafting him out of a try!
