Gloucester (H), Sarries (A), LI (H), Chiefs (A), Quins (A), Bristol (H), Falcons (A), Wasps (H)
That's the Tigers run in for the Jeff. 3 really tough away games against Sarries, Chiefs and Quins.
Sarries will be the big one in terms of 1st place. It's a Six Nations rest weekend so they'll have Tompkins and likely Isiekwe back with England's expected second row returnees. Tigers should get Heyes back and I'd hope Chessum as well with all the locks returning. A huge game.
I wouldn't worry too much .... Irish drew away at Sarries and won at home, beat Chiefs home and away, and beat Quins away - yet to play them at home ... I think I might be dreaming that though ...
Certainly coming into form!

At least you didn't ask me about it.Heaf wrote:doctor_grey wrote:By the way, don't ask me about the Saints match.
I got that one bang on on Superbru ... sorry
One question, and this may be about size, physics, physical probabilities or improbabilities:
How on bloody earth can anyone lose a garryowen to Faf de Klerk and give up a try on the same sequence? He is freakin 2 feet tall! Wearing high heels.
Now that I have that out of my system: https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/7446cc30-db4f-463d-b760-7d7bd6c25d4a

I honestly had absolutely no idea that was Tigers first win at Bath since 2011!

One to roll for me . But yes I started this by doubting whether he would be where he was if not for his player base. Every ref makes mistakes but he talks it through then goes against what he's told the players. An odd ref.nathan wrote:No 7&1/2 wrote:Don't think you're allowed to go off your feet and roll forward without momentum. We are developing a frustrating tendency to start strong then fall asleep for long periods and we are leaving points on the pitch.
If I had to predict our Premiership season being brutally honest at the minute I'd say that I think we will hold onto 1st or 2nd in the table leading to a home semi we should be able to win. I could then see us meeting either Sarries or Chiefs in the final and losing a game with a tight scoreline but one that we never really looked in control of as the lineout causes us trouble with retaining our own ball and conceding pens on the oppositions against international quality second rows.
I don't want to sound too negative either. The progress under Borthwick is startling, this is a fantastic squad with many young players that should only get better. I just have this unshakable feeling that it might be one season too early for us to win hard fought KO matches against sides experienced in those situations. We can be absolutely fantastic for periods but still go missing for others.
I think once we get our internationals back, it will define our season.
We certainly aren't as strong as at the beginning of the season, but there has been far more rotation which is good.
Bit of a nervy game with the usual bizaar decisions you expect from Dickson. Not sure how Wells was pinged for rolling when the ball was out and ge hands been tackled.
Thought it should have been a pen try at the end too as a load of Bath players went in at the side as it was marching towards the line.
Still, a win is a win. Great to see Burns putting some performances together too.
Thought he ran and dived on the ball so had the momentum. Either way, not a fan of Dickson (he makes Bob decisions for all teams). No idea how he got a six nations game next week.

A truly woeful ref who has been elevated well beyond his level because he's a former player. A Championship level ref.
Bath had done their homework. They had a sweeper in place to negate the Burns chip over the top, they had noticed the lack of backfield coverage on the blindside and used that knowledge to create two tries. Bath were also very good at choosing when to compete at the breakdown which frustrated the Tigers attack.
Tigers used their bench well but with Burns at 10 we are prone to playing to loose and falling into certain predictable patterns. Kelly was huge in getting us over the line today. Made hard yards and big tackles all day as well as a lovely offload that set up a try. Heyes destroyed the Bath scrum, pretty comprehensive from him at set piece time but he may have wanted more than solid in the loose. Tigers found a way to win though which is a good habit to have and first win in a decade at the Wreck.

Excellent defensive set from Falcons - although hooker possibly lucky not to get pinged for not getting back onside after a ruck when he joined the defensive line

Great read and pace by Haydon-Wood that will have warmed GF a bit.
The Chiefs 15 has looked electric in attack but he bottled the tackle there after working hard to get back to be in with a chance.
Chick going for a red here. Absolutely smashes him in the chin.

Good defence again from Falcons ... I presume the yellow warning has expired as nothing came after the pen for dropping the maul close to line? Although not sure it was a pen anyway.

Well more positives in this first gskf then in the last 5/6 game.
Suspect we'll lose this now we're properly under the cosh...too much so. Sean Robinson is a monster.
Collett and Basham could be a flank combo worth working with.
Jeez man can this rain sod off....

Looks horrible out there ... Falcons could still win this although all the stats make it look tough - they need to get more possession/territory as surely they can't keep that defence up for another 40 mins, or can they?

Ah shame, great effort by the lads after Chick's boneheadedness. Exeter's rubbish line-out kept us in it, but if we had been just a bit better we could have snatched it. Have to say that Exeter are very one dimensional though, if plan A doesn't work, they very much back plan A....

Well you've said that a few times now...
There was lots to like about that Falcons performance so I wouldn't think many changes would be required for their next game. Perhaps Radwan to come in and offer some of his magic perhaps.

I know I'm boring but it just gets silly,
I know Exeter weren't great...and should have scored more...but we battled....
Will kids make mistakes yes....but they learn.
Why in earth did dean take Kelemeti off for Hodgson...
