Seashell Guppies v Glasgow Warriors 15/10/22
Glasgow side announced
1. Jamie Bhatti (71)
2. George Turner (81)
3. Zander Fagerson (119)
4. Sintu Manjezi (4)
5. Richie Gray (87)
6. Scott Cummings (94)
7. Thomas Gordon (56)
8. Matt Fagerson (82)
9. Ali Price (115)
10. Tom Jordan (4)
11. Josh McKay (16)
12. Sam Johnson (95)
13. Sione Tuipulotu (C) (24)
14. Sebastian Cancelliere (13)
15. Ollie Smith (20)
Replacements
16. Fraser Brown (126)
17. Oli Kebble (80)
18. Murphy Walker (6)
19. JP du Preez (3)
20. Ryan Wilson (215)
21. Gregor Brown (7)
22. George Horne (83)
23. Ross Thompson (37)
The general sticks with a 6/2 split.
Big Man Jessie replaces Cummings in the second row: Cummings replces Brown at 6 shock:
Aldi Price starts and Hornito is demoted to the bench after his MOM display last week.
Ollie Smith is back and we can only surmise that Forbes is rested after starting the first four matches.
Ross The Wonder Kid is back in at 23.
I haven't seen the Seashell line up but they have six Boks World Cup winners on their books so it'll be a strong side methinks.
Glasgow to win narrowly.

Good to see Smith and Thompson back in the mix, a good game could easily get them on the plane home next week and into the Scotland squad for the Australia game.
It is a tall ask against the Sharks at home though, will need to play like last week and then some. Wwe could play well and get nothing from this game.

I think The Sharks are a class team. But they really ran out of gas in the last 20 against Leinster and Zebre (where they were lucky to hold on and win). So don't count out your wobbly Warriors just yet. Seems a good lineup you are putting out, except I don't know anything about your 10.

Tom Jordan, a Kiwi we signed last season and who has been playing semi pro.
Been given his chance this season and has grabbed it with both hands, been very assured for someone with so little experience and should continue to improve.

Interesting. Is he a young 'un you can keep around and develop?BigGee wrote:doctor_grey wrote:I think The Sharks are a class team. I think he is 2 years plus into SQ and still in early 20s, so yes, maybe one to kerp around for Glasgow and Scotland

Glasgow lose Matt Fagerson and Seb Canciliere before kick off, that is not a good start.
Forbes and Wilson come into the starting side and we see Vianu come on to the bench for a likely debut.

Etzebeth clatters Turner in the air and it's another kickable pen to Glasgow. Turner is poleaxed and still down

A one score game at HT
Good defence there at the end from Glasgow. If we can sort out our line out, we are not out of this game.
Turner off injured though and Brown comes on, his first lineout malfunctioned as well!!

And finally we win a lineout and straight over for a driving try. Good start to the second half.
Gordon scores his second, he is going to be very close to the Scotland squad on this form.
13-12 Sharks

Sharks powering away now, maybe not surprising with the bench they have brought on!

Re: Seashell Guppies v Glasgow Warriors 15/10/22
40-12 Sharks at FT
The Sharks show their power and pace and Glasgow could not live with it in the second half. hard to see many teams getting much fromm a trip to Durban if they play like that.
Glasgow did not help themselves with their miss firing lineout, but we were well beaten.
