Robert Kennedy Jr......Not to be taken lightly by BIDEN !!!!

Only one President in history has ever been denied nomination by his party when up for re-election and that was Franklin Pierce in the mid 1800s...(LBJ and a few others who dropped out early)...Pierce was a pro slavery Northerner and got in to all sorts of trouble over the "Missouri compromise"....Eventually losing out to the equally out of his depth Buchanan (In fairness the US was becoming unmanageable at that time).....This was all in the preamble to the inevitable Civil War......Pierce died hating Lincoln nearly as much as Redneck Ray in Swampville !!!.....Which is sad because Pierce was a New Englander who struggled all his life with the loss of three children and a Wife who had terminal depression......and because all New Englanders are great people.

A hundred or so years later Ford repelled Reagan by the skin of his teeth and some help from the machine giving Jimmy the Nut farmer four years to shrink the Economy.......


Yes...RFK jr is a bit of a nut....The anti-vax stuff....The foot in mouth comments about Jewish freedom in Nazi Germany but he has one great strength.....His Name.....

KENNEDY.......and Kennedy is Camelot.....Beautiful young brothers...Both charismatic...with beautiful Wives and family....Both cut down in their primes and both offering change to the Old-ugly-boy corrupt system of Presidents and Govt that preceded them..

You see you can't bully the Kennedys.....Clinton tried to when Teddy declared for Obama and Teddy laughed in his face and told him to take a walk because if you can survive leaving a girl to die at Chappaquiddick you can pretty much survive anything....My folks described themselves as Kennedy Democrats and wanted Teddy in 1976 instead of Jimmy Boy.....You couldn't argue with them the magic of the name reminded of a Pre vietnam utopia that didn't exist..In fact many believe had JFK not died in Texas the US would never have become embroiled in a war we could only draw and not win.... ..

RFK is up to 20% in some polls which is impressive against a President polling in the 40s nationwaide....It's not like a lame duck Herbert Hoover or anything.....and the Democratic machine is already talking about changing the primary rota to make life awkward.....

With Trump already polling ahead in some polls a bloody fight with a Kennedy is the last thing you need......Just ask LBJ in 68.....

RFK jr win ??? No......BUT Don't take anybody with the name Kennedy lightly......Biden shouldn't !!!!

Afterall, the Kennedys have been good friends with Joe and helped him get to where he got over many years and there might be a gentleman's agreement to quietly step aside (next spring) and give old Donald someone/something else to think about... and hopefully completely blindside him.

That would make for a ripper of a Presidential campaign. She's lying low here in Canberra as US Ambassador at the moment. Everyone likes her.
It's the perfect place; far away from the current noise at home and out of sight from all the action on the Hill.

No, my point is that given the completely hopeless choices at present (reflected in the dismal polling percentages of all the possible Democratic candidates... including RFK Jr) as well as Joe's steady decline in approval ratings and a growing unwillingness to even seriously consider VP Harris... the answer to the question of "Who else?" could see Caroline Kennedy suddenly thrust into the mix - either later this year or during the first few months of 2024. Careful timing for maximum effect is everything.

She has the great family name, Harvard and Columbia qualifications, has solid political and legal background, has supported or endorsed some decent civil and social initiatives, been a board member for important institutions and commissions, had ambassadorial roles in Japan and Australia and only some very minor hiccups (failed running mate to Obama and pulling out of the US Senate seat race) but she can play the 'timing wasn't right then... but it is now' card after another solid 10+ years of high level US government representation since then.

Hopefully she's ready for the challenge in 2024 and all the 'on-stage' simulations, debate preparations are being planned to combat the verballing she might have to face dealing with Trump. I think she's acutely aware of this (the need to show both conviction and confidence) whilst making sure she has the right people around her backing her all the way.

She's also a pleasant person, pretty smart, articulate, wealthy (and would be backed by even more prominent wealthy movers and shakers... and most likely a large section of social media and the press), is more refined and would be more subtle in her verbal delivery than Hillary was during her campaign against Trump. Maybe it will be time for a woman to become US President... and restore some dignity to the office... as opposed to what we've been seeing in recent times? Anyway... just a thought.

The machine will back Harris....Michelle Obama or even Hillary before Caroline Kennedy......Don't forget they have already moved the primaries to make life harder...

Biden dies Harris goes in to the next Election as President with the sympathy let me finish the job message.....If Biden is struggling he will stand anyway as the power as always is behind the throne and he is just a figurehead anyway....

But Caroline is impressive you're right.

Polling anywhere from 18 to 11% in WH24......Biden's worse nightmare especially with disgruntled black voters....His Daddy was a good friend of Martin Luther King and both died within weeks of eachother....Remember it was Sirhan Sirhan than did it !!!

I can forgive the conspiracy crap........He is the only candidate addressing the fact that 8% of Americans were living in poverty in 2021 and as of 2022 figures it was 12%....and it won't have changed much.
