Since when does a ref say oh sorry Ardie just saw the replay as Pollard kicks the obviously non penalty. Since when is a clear knock on by Faf , ‘went backwards’ when he drops it after trying to pick it up.
Barnes needs to go to Specsavers… again.
It begins again.
He has a point re the the pen that went completely the wrong way ... if that doesn't happen everything after that point changes ....
Yeah. If any decision changes everything after that point changes. Good point.
Boks by far the better side so far. Just a drama Queen point perhaps

Possibly a red. Chance for the bunker to level it up.
NZ have got to make these 10 minutes count.

I don't buy this indirect contact stuff - if you get a headbutt in the face just because another part of the body also makes contact doesn't mean it's not a head injury risk - which is what I thought they were trying to avoid ...

Kolisi hit the body first then the head, have seen those given as not even a penalty in this RWC, Jesse Kriel v Scotland for example.

Understand NZ's choice to go for the try there. But it ended up like England's botched line-out last week, and could be just as key.

That's not at all relevant. The initial contact wasn't high so mitigation not to mention that his hips were dipped making the tackle rather than Cane being upright.

The game needed that. Missed tackle on the fly-half, but still brilliant work to finish it off.

When did they change the laws to say you could go back more than 2 phases for an infringement in the build-up to a try?

Barnes will be roasted after this. Regardless of who wins. He’s lost control of his ability to make decisions. He’s seeing things that didn’t happen. And missing things that did.

Some really tight calls this game but I think they've all been about right. World Rugby definitely need to have a good hard think about these head contact laws though and put down consistency in the decision making.
ABs need to be peppering the touchlines given how bad the SA lineout is!

So can we go back a few tries and half time?
Barnes apologised on the replay before pollard kicked the goal. Why couldn’t he correct that?
