Very sad indeed. RIP The King.

Godness me, what an awful year for the Welsh gods.

A sublime player, who was very uncomfortable with the deity bestowed upon him after the 1971 Lions tour and walked away from the game in his prime.

On the pitch though, he was a ghost, no-one seemed to be able to lay a hand on him, just poetry in motion.

My sister lives in his home town, Cefnethein, they will be particularly sad down there.

Slightly before my time (at least that I can remember rugby), so was more a mythical legend than was the case with JPR or Phil Bennett, who form part of my early rugby memories.
Very sad news though - I hope the RFU do a good job of commemorating him and JPR next week.
