Farcical. The ball was passed him when he got hit. What do the refs want? You can’t see someone when you are tackling low. Players will need to stay high to be able to see if the target has gathered the ball or not

Got to say it was the right call.....he defo got tackled early and you cant do that even the player does not get the ball - it was marginal but that was the right call...

Someone get on Amazon and order Dempsey a new pair of lungs. The man is spent. No idea how much ground he’s covered

That card and penalty will give Bulls one last chance to win this game - they need a try.
They need to push this into the 22

Deserved the way they played in the second half......

Well that raised my blood pressure more than watching Scotland play!
So pleased for the boys, they've clearly worked hard the last two seasons. Thoroughly deserved. Also Franco take a bow!

Congratulations Glasgow, that is a well deserved title. Best team for most of the game, Bulls looked flat and their errors cost them big time.

So so proud. The spirit and determination was 1st class and the defence was immense. From our first try onwards I thought we'd do it. Going to sit quietly, let it sink in, then go out and celebrate. Well done guys, coaches too.

Agree with the above. Congratulations for a dramatic win. Two good teams going at it was never going to be overly artful. But was a real good game of Rugby, a worthy final, and a fitting champion.

Excellent win Glasgow. I didn't think you had a chance, but you showed how to play against the Bulls and are worthy winners. I think Leinster need to be taking some tips from you for next season.

We'll I made it down to Yorkshire today. After all the hills of the borders, Northumbria and County Durham, which nearly killed me, the road finally flattened out today and I had a much nicer ride through pan flat East Yorkshire
So having had a good day, it just got so much better when I saw this incredible result. Did any of us really Beleive this was possible?
We'll the Warriors players and coaching staff certainly did, there is certainly some steel in that team now.
I am off to Spalding tomorrow, a spin through the Fens, which is also pleasingly flat. 4 days till I get to Dover now. I am looking forward to getting home.

Great reault for the URC.
Year 1, 2 SA sides playing a final in SA, really got the SA fans intrested in the URC.
Year 2 Munster prove that teams can win away.
Year 3, when it starts looking like a SA/Ire crave up, Glasgow remind everyone there are seriously goos teams outside SA and Ireland.
3 finals, 3 different winners, all feom different Unions. Thats the type of result that will help the URC grow.

That will be remembered as one of the great achievements in the URC. The league won't get any easier but you Weegies took the hard path to that victory.
Well done to my Scottish cousins, you should be pregnant with pride. Class act folks.

Just finished the game - very similar to last week and Glasgow managed the energy and determination to back it up. Remarkable win.
Ultimately Glasgow's big name players stepped up and the Bulls' didn't. It's also crazy to think the effort involved a bunch of youngsters who we'd never heard of at the start of the season and someone like Henco Venter, who looked like a complete journeyman signing but he's had a stormer of a season and made a huge impact off the bench.
Hopefully Toonie has been paying attention as he has pretty much the opposite approach to how to play these big games, and it's been a failure time and time again. Glasgow showing how it's done!

Didn't realise you are doing this. Perhaps I spent too much time in the sections dedicated to the decadent English and missed it. I think this is great and inspirational. Four days from Yorkshire to Kent ain't easy. Hope you reach your goal. Not sure if this helps, mate, but I hear they have beer in Dover....BigGee wrote:We'll I made it down to Yorkshire today. Bulls looked tired against Benetton and again yesterday against Glasgow. It’s usually the away teams tiring when they go down to South Africa. It’s a long season and perhaps Jake White should have rotated a bit more in the league. Bulls have a big squad and it’s quality throughout. Jake White must have an ego, he buys quality players from everywhere but doesn’t use them. Franco Smith on the other hand seems like a really smart coach, it’s a pity Welsh teams don’t have the nous to look up and say “we need someone like that.”

Re: URC Final | Glasgow Warriors URC Champions 23/24
I was busy yesterday so got up this morning to watch the match. I'm flabergasted. That was an unbelievable result for Glasgow and a huge boost for Scottish rugby in general.
Matt Fagerson for me was the player who has been a standout for the Warriors against Munster and the Bulls. He was everywhere in defence and made some monster carries. Hugely underrated player.
But it was a huge team performance away from home again. In AFL they call the third quarter the championship quarter, and that was what Glasgow won last night. They looked far and away the better side in that second half and it was a shame Dempsey's try was (correctly) scrubbed out because it epitomised the effort of the Warriors this season.
Hard luck to the Bulls, they were gracious in defeat and had a very good season themselves.
Unbelievable. Truly unbelievable. I'm so happy for the player, coaches and fans.
..and I am also very jealous as an Edinburgh fan! Massive congrats.
