6CWF - The VIP Sessions & Podcast
Good afternoon gents (Yes I know I'm in the middle of posting a show )
So after some chatter with Rob (Uryu) we have decided we are going to give this a whirl. He has kindly agreed to be the host of this venture and we are looking to kick it off this Saturday with a sit down, in depth, discussion between him and myself.
Depending on the success of this (we may need more than one part) and if you guys can stomach listening to me then we may look to take this further and have a monthly/bi monthly (after PPV) podcast where we would then open up the floor for anyone else who would like to get involved in the discussion.
So first and foremost from you guys, if you could be of great service, we need some topics and questions for our opening recording:
And quite honestly I want to throw it out there so we can talk about anything from the start in 2008 all up to the present day. As many questions as you like and anything you want answered. There isn't a subject that I won't talk about, but instead of me just harping on it would be good to talk about things that you guys would like to hear about.
So post away, fire them over and hopefully we can turn this into something.
Cheers lads

Re: 6CWF - The VIP Sessions & Podcast
I’ll start with a few standard ones:
How long does it take to write up a weekly show and how long roughly do PPVs take?
How far ahead are you with storylines and how often do you think you have a storyline set in stone for you to then change your mind?
During your time doing this, what has been your favourite storyline that your character has been apart of and favourite storyline that you have come up with?
Names you would like to get back if you could?
I’m sure I can reel some more off later but a few to get the ball rolling

Re: 6CWF - The VIP Sessions & Podcast
* Is there a storyline that you had planned and knew would be amazing only to have to scrap it because someone left or it just never delivered in a way you thought it would?
* If you could adopt or take over someone else's character and promo as them/run them, who would it be and what about them makes you wish you could? (Mine personally would be Mario Daravelli as I love the idea of an evil movie director)
* Have there ever been real life wrestling events that have clashed with your own storylines? I remember when Wood was attacked by Plague in a hell in a cell match once and it somehow ended up being around the same time Wyatt did the same to Seth Rollins...have there been any others?
*If you did a Mount Rushmore of 6CW and 6WF who would be in it? Maybe do a modern era one and a OG one as well as we've had such a long history that picking 4 for the entire run must be near impossible
* Which do you think has been your most successful storyline since the recent return?

I have a Spotify account so I will try and upload after we have recorded. This is very much a trial and error situation. Think that's why we will start with the 1 to 1 between me and Rob so we can iron out any issues before we try and look professional

If there was one thing you could change about a current or legacy character what would it be and why?
What do you consider the best face/heel turn you’ve planned over the years?
What’s would be your dream card for a ppv made up of chararacters throughout the years from any iteration of the feds you’ve managed?

Re: 6CWF - The VIP Sessions & Podcast
Was a good three hours, it's easy to do when you care about the subject matter. And I can tell that Steve really does care. That's one thing that comes across there is JJ wanting to do this the best he can, and I appreciate it as I'm sure everyone else does.
In terms of feedback there's not much to say, maybe good to break it down into like 'sections' as in like.... 'this is the 'current storyline' section, this it the 'QandA section' if you get me? Just a thought as I'm sure you have a format that you want to adjust yourselves anyway. Speaking of which, what's the plan going forward? Is it going to be a two man show? or are you guys gunna drop in and out? any plans for guests?
Also one last thing... What the f*ck is with your accent JJ? Haha. You fly between Scouse, Manc, and some sort of southern accent. I'm assuming you've moved around alot. Nothing wrong with it, I just wasn't expecting it.
Your voice is lovely too Uryu don't feel left out...
All joking aside, it was a nice listen guys I annoyed my wife with it for good half an hour before she eventually gave the, "did I marry you, you sad tw*t" look so I put my headphones on haha.

please, i hate my own voice.
This was honestly a 'go with the flow' n see how we go. I will try n keep us to some sort of sections next time. also next time onwards we were thinking me + JJ + guest(s)

Really good podcast lads and hope we can hear more after PPVs and special shows, always love backstage and background stuff like this so happy to hear more.
Also thank you for the kind words that were said at points.
On the topic of Rex/Wood and Kenty I have my own view of how I'd personally book it but I'm also a little bit biased because it's my character involved.

Re: 6CWF - The VIP Sessions & Podcast
I had a great time recording that, thanks again to Rob for making it happen. I did genuinely have another 2-3 hours in me but I couldn’t put him through it
Glad it seems to have been received well, wasn’t sure how interesting it would come across. I was having a blast.
So as Rob says the plan going forward is to do a podcast after every PPV with myself, Rob and 1 or 2 guests if anyone fancies getting involved. Would be great to get as many people involved as possible and make it into something. After every show would be a bit overkill but if the time/occasion calls for it maybe we can do a few others for special events or an end of year awards kind of thing.

Nearly at the end now. It's been a good listen
It's funny you reference Batista and triple H when discussing Kent and Rex as this was exactly what I was taking bits from when I replied in the chat about does a rex and kent feud need to be for the title

Maybe treat it a bit like a post show press conference? That way there will always be new business to deal with as well as the questions from the 'press' aka us. What do you guys talk/record through?

Re: 6CWF - The VIP Sessions & Podcast
I think you’re right BD - maybe the questions I’ve been taking on the press conferences after shows can just be stored up and answered on the podcast.
Then we can discuss the show itself as well as maybe fielding some questions to our guests and their efed experiences. And whatever else comes up.
It’s very much a trial and error stage. I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing but I enjoyed talking about our little make believe world.
I think Batista-Triple H is the closest likeness to Rex-Kent. But I do think it has some very different aspects which I am enjoying. And the fact I really can’t decide on the payoff
Because as was mentioned on the cast, I don’t even know if I want Kent and Rex to split. They work brilliant as a duo

Re: 6CWF - The VIP Sessions & Podcast
Just finished the podcast and must say it was very intriguing to get an inside view of the thoughts and processes behind all things 6CWF, 6CW and 6WF!
Very interested to hear more and would love to be a guest once you’ve got through some of the other bigger names who have been at this a bit longer!
JJ, was very impressed with your vast knowledge on all things wrestling, bit of an encyclopaedia of WWE!
Rob, you was a great host and really kept things flowing so kudos!
And on the note of accents, I also thought JJ sounded scouse which really threw me! As for you Rob, I really couldn’t work out your accent
Incredible work gents!

Re: 6CWF - The VIP Sessions & Podcast
I'm about halfway through. Really good stuff to listen to whilst I've been working this morning.
Adding another person into the mixer would definitely add to it.
If I'd got one piece of constructive criticism/feedback, I'd say that Uryu as the 'host' needs to avoid circling it back to his character. It's only a small point but felt like it derails some of the insights Steve/JJ is trying to provide.
Really enjoying it though!

About an hour in and really enjoying it - I hope there’s more.
One thing I have to ask is Paternity Test on a Pole between Hero and Acer?!?!? I can only presume that this was use of my character when I was not about because I have NO recollection of this! Definitely wasn’t my booking!

Sh*t you not!
River Ace classic
Explosion 2008 - Infamously dubbed "Whos the Daddy match"
If you don't know about it then none of us have any chance of clearing it up. Pretty sure this came at a time when he had full reign over what was happening (Saint's run as booker was coming to an end) and was one of many bizarre decisions.

Bearing in mind the end of my booking tenure was shared with River, I can believe that this was his creative . Did he ever make the English Defence League character (with EDL initials)??

I Was thinking if you guys while you were recording the podcast some time maybe it would be a good idea to like talk through the general How To of it all. In detail.
From making a character, filling in a character sheet, writing a promo, where to chat to people on the site, all the things like that.
I know from talking to my friend he found it a little overwhelming as the sites so big if you don't understand we just stick to our little section lol.
Just an idea, could even then cut that part out for a little HOW TO seperate video that could go in the welcome section or people could use to show people who might be interested.
Anyway yeah, I'm working on getting him to join. So else see how successful that goes lol
