Salvador Sanchez vs Naoya Inoue.....The dream fight....
I think the Japanese magician should be P4P no 1........Ten years as a Champion spanning four weights....An Irrepressible pressure fighter....Compact and skillful talent that comes around very rarely......Looks big at 122 and as 126 is a mere 4 pounds away the great Sanchez is a mystical matchup one would happily get the time machine out for......Maybe get "Ticketmaster" to rip off hard working people to watch it or maybe not....If I had two Oasis tickets you could certainly have them at cost price or even a discount...Not for my more refined tastes.
Tiffany anybody ??.....(I think I'm alone now)
Any how........The rangy Inoue with his fast hands...straight right hand especially and his movement is a nightmare for anyone and I expect he would be Sal's hardest opponent.......I'd expect him to take an early lead and have his successes at pinning Sanchez to the ropes now and again.....He would have the edge in speed also which would be problematic....Good tank..
However at 126 his power won't be optimal (Ask Gomez).......Sanchez chin was granite and Sal loved pressure fighters and was hard to pin down.......In Nelson...Lopez and Gomez he'd also have better fighters on his record.....
But......Like I said Inoue outworks Sal early and over 12 it could be hard to choose.....Sal usually won late....Could be pickem..
Over 15 for me the great Sanchez overcomes the early storm and eventually gets the Japanese fighter's timing off to a tee......Regular hurtful counters lead to a 14th round Tko......In a classic...with a rematch to follow..
