In the summer tests it is most important to...
summer tests. RWC warm up matches
the summer tests will be the last chance to prepare for the world cup. do you think a coach should use the games to battleharden the first choice XXII or should a coach use these games to give every squad player an opportunity to experience test level rugby?

A bit of both really.
There are three games, I would say that the first two should be used to try a few fringe decisions and the third as a real test of the chosen first team.

Now is not the time to pull back.
Let the best players play, and work out the combinations. No team has yet won the RWC with a rotation policy. Know who the first 22 players are, and get them ready.

Target wins.
If a player has a slight injury then maybe its wise to rest them but the guys on the fringes will find it easier walking into a team which is winning than playing in a 2nd string team which labours to a hard fought win or defeat.

Re: summer tests. RWC warm up matches
Just to join in I voted for 1st XV and wins but I agree its bit of both.
We (Wales) especially need the wins to help build confidence after a poor season but we all need to try out a few people who have been out of the game because of injury and other committments (yes he needs game time).
Also there are players like Delve, Priestland, Brew who these games could be their last chance to impress so they will be itching to play.

Target wins, put out your strongest available 22 (however don't risk players with niggly injuries), based on the performancies during the extended training session.
