World XV-But with a twist
A friend set me a challenge not so long ago to name the best team possible with only one player per nation, needless to say i struggeled. So i turn here for help!!
In setting out the team a player from each of the 6nations, tri/quad nations and PI teams are probably needed as if like me your knowledge of teams like the U.S.A. or Russia is poor you'll want to have as little players from those countrys as possible
Good luck anyway, I'm off to wikipaeia to check their squads for good players

Throw in Nacewa for Fiji at fb even though it's a bit of a sore point.

1. Soane Tonga'uiha (Tonga)
2. Dylan Hartley (England)
3. Davit Zurakashvilli (Georgia)
4. Iosefa Tekori (Samoa)
5. Paul O'Connell (Ireland)
6. Kelly Brown (Scotland)
7. Richie McCaw (New Zealand)
8. Sergio Parisse (Italy)
9. Morgan Parra (France)
10. Quade Cooper (Australia)
11. Tim Visser (Holland)
12. Felipe Contepomi (Argentina)
13. Jaque Fourie (South Africa)
14. Zee Ngwenya (USA)
15. Isa Nacewa (Fiji)
The reason I picked Parra is because he's a good goalkicker, need to have someone to take Quades kicks for him
In many ways this is my 'perfect team'; athletic wingers, playmakers at 12 and 15, a physical strike runner at outside centre, a creative outhalf, a steady 9, an lock partnership with an athletic ball carrier and a top lineout organiser, a big front row and a well-balanced backrow where each player is dynamic and versatile. I'd be in heaven watching this team play!

Re: World XV-But with a twist
Well, it got down to the positions I needed to fill being hooker, backrow and wing... Shane Williams would be the obvious choice, but as I said I have a personal preference for wingers who are quite capable of breaking a tackle and have some power behind them.
Williams aside, and he is a little genius when he's on form, the current Welsh side is workmanlike with few real stars.

Re: World XV-But with a twist
Tim Visser - Holland?? Never played for Holland, played age level for England and wants to play for Scotland in future.
Re: World XV-But with a twist
Got a passport from that country and would be eligible to play for them tomorrow- I stand by it!
Not yet eligible for Scotland, not eligible for England so if you want to include him... has to be as a Dutchman.

1. Tongauiha (Tonga)
2. Tincu (Rom)
3. Kubrashvili (Georg)
4. Lund (Nor)
5. Tekori (Sam)
6. Nyanga (Fra)
7. Pocock (Aus)

12. Hook (Wal)
13. Bowe (Ire)
14. Ashton (Eng)
15. Nacewa (Fiji)
I think the pack has enough power to maul most teams in the tight and some quality in the loose. I think the backs would cause a problem, i'd really like to see Carter and Hook play with each other someday. Doubtful to happen though.
