Umenyiora also wants a new contract equal to that of the top 5 DE's (~$14million/year) on top of whatever compensation the Giants want.

He wouldn't get it. He was reportedly promised it by the Giants GM. Any competent FO would simply say it wasn't they who made the promise.

He's not worth top 5 DE money IMO but he'll likely whine about it the whole season if he doesn't get it.
