Allan Watkins dies
Former Glamorgan and England all-rounder Allan Watkins passed away yesterday afternoon, aged 89.
Watkins was the first Glamorgan player to score a Test hundred, and also the first to play in an Ashes Test match.
One of his claims to fame was that he was the last man to field a ball from the great Don Bradman, picking up the Don's defensive shot before returning the ball to Hollies who went on to bowl him for a duck.
R.I.P.
