Watch Donald in Itm or super 15(when pack is on top) and he is devastating. Because he is so big he takes it to the line and occupies defenders and passes.
Truly dominates. World class ?? The answer is no but at any other level and he is a great 10. Only evans is a better AP 10. Very much a confidence player but 10 x anything hodgson etc will be

Just watching the manawatu wellington game from the ITM cup on sky plus.
Cruden keeping his good form going anyway!
Savea looking great ball in hand but my god he doesnt like the highballs!
Johnny Leota looking a good signing for Sale as well Steve. Very strong carrier and looks like he would suit the AP to a tee!

I like the look of him. there is 6 or so different videos on youtube showing his tackling, linebreaks, offloads, attacking and other things which look pretty decent. Sale website says he is going to the WC so will come in october.

Have to agree Pooly! Very dissapointed so far. We are dominating possession and territory but they just dont have a clue what to do with the ball. Good kicking from Flood but as a playmaker he has been useless so far

Terrible mate, totally clueless. Hape & Banahan awful and Flood not too far behind.
Tindalls distribution is horrendous and cost us 7 points there.

Really dont get whats going on at the breakdown with England either. Apart from Lawes everyon has been terrible. Fourie was in the squad because hes an out and out 7 but was ompletly anonymous.
Hopefully Hodgson can save this for us. We should seriously be ahead here. Wilko would have been hitting drop goals galore 1st half. Flood cant start world cup now for me

Bloody sky box!! Keep getting error messages trying to get the SA-Aus game on!!
Shocking performance from England.
Lawes, Care, Foden and Cueto are the only 1s who played to any sort of decent standard really. Think Flood has just played himself out of the starting 15 for the world cup. Be interesting to see if Johnno brings Flutey in against Ireland and maybe Tuilagi as well. Hape was dreadful. Tindall carried well but his hands butchered up a fair few attacks. Think our attacking game is really wholly reliant on Foden counter attacking and Ashtons tracking game!!

Exactly as I suspected. An arrogance from England and the English in general. Much rather have the defeat now than in NZ in the Autumn though.

Haven't seen any rugby this weekend yet, so won't comment fully until I've watched the games, but Mat your comment about Beast is at odds with what I've read/heard so far. Most of what I've seen or heard has been that the Saffa scrum was ok until Beast and Jannie went off to be replaced by Steenkamp and BDP, and the major problem was Smit at TH at that time.
As I say, will watch the game either tonight or tomorrow and see what I think of it then.

How unfit does steenkamp look. Same with brussow. You can't let players get match fit by playing international rugby. Both look seriously under cooked. John smit is a lousy tighthead

Pete my comment was 10-20 minutes in beast got it sorted. Bdp Is
a monster. Smit dreadful. To be fair alexander is an average th but has done really well of late

77 minutes in and sa scrum has just crucified the Aussies. Alexander almost airiborne with Moore

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 homepage
Smit has been struggling at international level for a while. It is one thing having him in the team for his leadership, but if he is not justifying a place then it is a daft decision. There are plenty of others who could captain the side.

Have watched 55 mins of the France Ireland game and tbh both sides are looking decent. Irish lineout is absolutely abysmal without POC and Heaslip. Rob kearney had a very good 55 mins and all the french were looking good.

"77 minutes in and sa scrum has just crucified the Aussies. Alexander almost airiborne with Moore ."
What about the scrum about 2 mins earlier when Aus walked SA back about 10m and got a pen! SA got nothing for that effort except a reset which resulted in a knock on about 1min later.
Thought Brussow had a great 40mins and gives a balance that SA didn't have. Spies also had a good first half, just ran out of steam in the end though. Think SA will be ok come WC time myself, too many unfit players which showed from 50mins +

Where did you find the Ireland game, pooly sa scrum been dismantled at times yet also returned the favour a few times. Give sa bdp and a th and it is a great scrum. Thought brussow was anonomous which is to be expected. Bakkies best game for a while so athletic. Spies really good also.
After nz saffers most likely to win wc

yehh. He is by no means the finished article but he didn't look to have any obvious flaws in his game and can clearly carry a ball. I reckon he has a good chance of being the bench man in the france squad.

SA ratings, pretty fair assesment:
http://www.rugby365.com/all_news/sa/news/2771381.htm
6 Heinrich Brüssow:
He was really working hard on defence and although he once got pinged for obstruction, he secured some great steals. He even put in one nice little dash with the ball.
7/10
4 Bakkies Botha:
His physical presence was a huge bonus for Boks in the first half, along with good work in the line-outs. Then there was a try-saving tackle. He should not have been replaced.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 homepage
Bakkies made some amazing tackles. Caught an Aussie back. Thought he was sensational. Honestly forgot brussow was playing so will stick with anonymous. As I said you can't expect people to gain match fitness in a tip tier game. I think brussow is decent and no more. Never bought the hype. Think he was great when the breakdown laws were different. Need to be convinced he offers something else. Poor ball in hand and offers little link wise. Sharpe for me is simply superb gets better with age. Bakkies and him best locks in world rugby. Both all time greats for me. Up there with mj eales etc

Brussow....decent and no more?!?! I wouldn't expect you to rate him as he's not in your squad but decent? Let me guess Burger, Alberts, Ashley Johnsone are 10x the player Brussow is.....etc etc.
